Re: What the Fark 2: That Was... Interesting.

I've had excellent burgers with peanut butter on them, so one stuffed with a PB cup doesn't sound bad.

Think of all the bizarre combos of food, that were probably shunned at first, because it was too weird.

I mean, I'd have NEVER thought of pairing bacon and ice cream, or a breakfast burrito.

There's a bar here in both Clinton and Saline here that serves a Peanut Butter burger. It pretty good, but its kinda messy.

I really do need to try one of those.

You can make one yourself. Just take a hunk of ground beef, make a small pocket in the middle of it to hold the wad of cheese and you're done. The cheese will be hot.

I still prefer the Saucy Suzy at the 5-8 Club over the Lucy.

Re: What the Fark 2: That Was... Interesting.

Does anybody outside of MN have any idea what these people are talking about?

Burgers. Different types of burgers. Juicy Lucy is a 1/3 or 1/2-lb burger stuffed with a wad of cheese and then grilled. Saucy Suzy is the same idea, only instead of cheese it's "special sauce" (Thousand Islands, or it's non-union, Mexican equivalent).

Someone who watches Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives religiously should.

Which spawned Food Wars (IIRC that was the name of the show) because Matt's Bar and the 5-8 Club both claim to be the original Ju(i)cy Lucy. So they had a showdown on which was BETTER.

...4....3....2....

Until some St. Paul stooge comes in here and blabbers on about Shamrocks, or Blue Door or some other St. Paul bar.

Re: What the Fark 2: That Was... Interesting.

The best place for a Lucy is the one that you prefer over the others. If people want to be wrong and go to Matt's Bar, then that's the best for them.

Hmm...

A prominent Russian millionaire with high-level ties to the Kremlin has been found dead inside a Washington hotel, a Russian official and a senior U.S. official told ABC News.

Mikhail Lesin, the former head of media affairs for the Russian government who's been accused of curtailing the country’s press freedoms, had been staying at Hotel Dupont when he was found Thursday, according to officials.

It's unclear why the long-time adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin was in Washington, but the Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating his death.
