I also don't think BLM realizes that after Boston in 2013, the security for these races has been tightened down a great deal. The course has a higher police presence, spectators' bags are subject to search, etc.

MPLS is all "Oh, we understand your plight, go ahead, do your thing."

At this point, I think we could all chip in and have you outfitted in chain mail armor, complete with a viking horn helmet, coming at them with a huge battle ax. The only problem with this is that I don't think you would want to wear all of that while running the course.

I have a machete I can loan him.

No, more like the police know that these ****ers have one goal and that is to cause a riot, so they're not obliging them. But at some point they need to bite the bullet and lay down the law. Throw them in jail, and if there are issues, live ammo.

If I were a marathoner, I'd step on them. Literally. Rosa Parks knew she was going to jail for her actions, MLK knew he was a target...accept responsibility for actions. BLM isn't doing that. It's bullsh*. If they said, "Well, I did this, so this other thing happened," I'd respect them a bit more. They just keep playing the persecution card, and it makes me sick.

Going in, I have every plan to step on and trample if they get in my way. I will get other runners involved too.

No. I stop at the mile 26 marker, put on the armor, and then run full throttle the rest of the way.
Bigblue, Brent and I could be at 26 to meet you and help you dress. We could be right in front of the History Museum and claim the armor is for an exhibit.

This is moronic.

I don't get the whole Brony thing either, but seriously, what's it to you? Your post is the epitome of "Stop liking what I don't like!!!!!"

In all honesty, how many people put Jamesak on the ignore list because of those really dumb pony pictures? :p;)

If that's a pony, then it has a dildo sprouting from its head. I'm more inclined to think of it as a Japanese masturbatory Hentai unicorn.

Here is the problem that BLM organizers haven't yet realized. Their cause has merit, but they have no goal. It's just a general, "hey, we matter too" protest, which can never be successful. If you just run around making a nuisance of yourself, you end up alienating more people than will ever support you.

The protests in the '60's, by and large, had measurable goals. Goals get accomplished, protests stop. Universities enroll black students. All seats on all public transportation are open to everyone. Voting rights legislation is passed.

If I came across these guys, my response would be that I agree, black lives matter. Now, what exactly are you asking me to do? If you lack the basic, native intelligence to articulate a goal, genius, then get out of my face.

It's funny how many people held that exact same dismissive sentiment about every civil rights protest/group/movement throughout the history of the US.
