What the Fark 2: That Was... Interesting.

The most shocking thing here is that it took so long for this to all come out. You would have had to think that some muckraker would have started digging in on them a long time ago.

Surprised that anything came out since the kid was a juvenile when it happened. I was under the impression that those records were sealed.

Re: What the Fark 2: That Was... Interesting.

Sealed or not, he was 14 - more than old enough to know exactly what he was doing, and that it was very wrong. He is a serial incestuous pedo, and his nutjob parents helped him get a slap on the wrist (4th degree CSC), with a "stern talking to" from a friend-of-the-family cop, who himself later resigned from his post after he was slapped with kiddie porn charges.

The Duggars should be publicly drawn and quartered over this. It's unbelievable and shameful that they would teach this victim-blaming garbage to their kids.

We're providing birth control to 14 year olds. There is some acknowledgement that there is some hanky panky going on between/among kids that age. Are the 15 year old boys doing the nasty with 14 year old girls pedophiles?

You may be too young, but when I was a kid there were boys that would try to remove the bra of a girl while she was walking down the school hallways. Were they pedophiles? Or. were they the victim of overactive hormones?

Because the offender is a Dugger and they are different than you and me, many want to crucify the (then) kid. If it was Ralph from Decatur, nobody would care nor would the world find out.

We always love it when the moral fall flat on their faces. Guess what - they're human and make the same mistakes that you, I, and the rest of society make. They are not saints and never said they were saints. 19 kids? Ye God! Not for me. But if they can support them and provide a loving family atmosphere, why not? Who am I to judge?

We (they) tell them what they did is wrong (admonish the sinner) and if they are heartily sorry and sin no more, then forgive the sinner and move on. Let the civil authorities determine if there is to be a civil penalty - that's not my job.

Ralph from Decatur isn't trying to monetize and created some level of D-list celebrity having fathered 19 children, nor is Ralph from Decatur trying to monetize being a child from said family.

Exactly. The hatred these creatures peddle has real consequences for innocent people. If they step out of the limelight and have their fcked up Old Testament fantasy in private, then they'll share Ralph from Decatur's anonymity. As long as they're on the gravy train politicizing their atavistic radical Dominionism, they're public figures and may their hypocrisy drown them.

To be fair, if someone offered you a crapload of money to put you on tv, would you turn it down? Even if it puts you in a bad light?

I am NOT a fan of fake celeb tv (like the Duggars), and I have no interest in it. It makes me sick, to be honest. But if someone offered me a few mill to televise my pathetic life...I might consider it. Consider. /truth

FYP.

Oh, and your schoolmates that tried to take the bras off the girls were ***holes, not "victims" of anything....

I actually have thought about that a time or two since shows like this started hitting American TV. I can't see myself doing it. I wouldn't want to subject my child/ren to such an environment. It can't be good for their development, same with parents who allow their children to go into professional acting careers. It is the job of the parent to protect its children, not profit from them.
