Re: What has disappeared since you were a kid
Yeah. Lots of onions.
And their burgers were actually pretty tasty.

Doubt that Harmon paid the "original" Bozo anything (assuming he was original, of course).
I doubt there is any "originator" short of a long evolutionary chain back to commedia dell'arte to Plautus to Aristophanes to two Sumerian guys doing the routine "Ngirsu Falls!?! Slowly I turn..."
Step by step, inch by inch. No question, you class us up. I'm guessing that will be the first and last Plautus reference around here for a while.![]()
Mostly because you can get so much more distance with a flatus reference.
OP's post reminded me of another...kids trick or treating on Halloween in neighborhoods. Nowadays they seem to do it on the weekend at a community center or something.
I think I have more fun on halloween in my 20s than I did in my preteenage years.
Well yeah...now we get eye candy for Halloween instead of a fun size Snickers.I think I have more fun on halloween in my 20s than I did in my preteenage years.

Coupla years ago, didn't Elvira do some Halloween spots for Bud?

It's really huge for young adults these days. I read somewhere that in terms of dollars spent, Halloween is second or third on the list. Well, that ain't for tootsie rolls. Lots of folks put up pretty elaborate decorations these days. When I was a kid, it was mostly jack o lanterns, and if you really wanted to splurge, some hay.
I don't doubt that for a second. The sheer amount of booze I consumed and purchase for others to consume was staggering this past year. Maybe one of two or three times I've ever had a hangover.
You either have tremendous tolerance or you're an amazing underachiever.![]()
