Class acts by the Minny fans around here for the kind words about our squad. Can only wish Nic and Kevin the best of luck with the Kings and Cory with testing free agency.

Your boys had a heck of season and making it within a game of back to back Frozen Four appearances, nothing to be ashamed of. Add in the second year in a row with a regular season championship and it is, again, a heck of a season.

Congrats to the Gophers on the win and return to the Frozen Four. They completely outplayed the Huskies from beginning to end. Too much speed and size. Needed to have a few mistakes and lucky bounces to have a shot and that just didn't happen. They won just about every battle getting to loose pucks. Again, dominated. Likely a bit worn out from the OT game the night before but I really don't think it would have mattered that much. Gophers were determined and they got it done. Going to be a real tough out the rest of the way. Will definitely be watching the matchup with UND.

Going to miss Dowd being in a Huskies uniform as well as several of the other seniors. Some good talent coming back but Dowd and a few others will be hard to replace.

Agree with all of this. I'd be more upset if I thought SCSU was the better team and lost but its clear UMN is the better team. Our only hope was for an off night by the gophers.

Agreed, if we played the Gophers 10 times this season we would win no more than twice, probably only once. They're both better and a bad matchup.

Yeah it would have been different if the game had ended with some fluky BS goal or if the officiating had played a part. The Huskies just got beat. Plain and simple.

I mean, its a virtual love fest in here? I think I am going to cry, "Oh SCSU should be so proud and just got unlucky the Gophers played their best game of the year", "oh no, your Gophers are just the better team, we'd be lucky to win 2 games out of 10 vs them".

I echo comments made about SCSU including the overall season, Motzko and the players. Respect to Dowd for turning down money to return as not a lot of guys have the guts to do that. As much fun as it can be to be a rival fan and rag on each other, I've never felt that SCSU plays cheaply and without class.

With that said, pressers like that are the norm and not the exception. While surely some of the questions were lame as hell I don't think the process is going to be changed if this the first time it's ever been brought up.

Dumb question: Why can't they interview the players on the winning team first? That would give the players on the losing team a chance to get their emotions in check.
