And their wallets are fine. All of this is ridiculously overblown.

Rick Scott announced he wants to raise taxes on everyone but the rich. And yet poor people will vote for him because of “groomers” aka people who don’t want gays to be persecuted.

such economic anxiety

Well it's a good goddam thing they all have jobs to replenish their wallets :-)

I have no doubt that the cost of food(just mentioning food but its all consumer items)hasn't hurt your household. But I'll guarantee its hit a lot of households. Most of the posters on here make more money than a large portion of the US voters.

I get that. And it's a fair point. Food costs have hit ours as well. But thinking of the ultra low unemployment, I'd rather pay a fraction more in food costs and cut elsewhere to ensure everyone has a job.

No people look at their wallet after they have been shopping for anything. Dems haven't figured out that people vote their wallet.

Did they look at their wallet when they all got raises too? When they were getting $350/kid each month?

Or does that not count?

They all screamed about socialism while greedily cashing those checks

I had my salary drop significantly last year...yet somehow I'm able to make it work. If a few dimes per gallon at the pump is the difference you were screwed either way.

I had not seen the job growth data from Democrat Presidents. Not sure why the cult voters ignore that, and think that "regular" billionaires really care that they can go into a pit to dig coal to make someone else millions of dollars is the right way to go. Let alone, that promise is never, ever held up.

Goes along with the debt expansion that always comes with cult presidents. For as much as they brag on being fiscally conservative, they are the most radical bunch ever- cutting taxes that expand the debt so that 1) rich people pay less taxes, and 2) rich people can buy T bonds and double dip on the radical fiscal policy. It's kind of funny to consider the concept of the balanced budget amendment, when it would mostly impact cult presidents light years more than Democrat ones.

Its more than a few dimes here. Diesel is 5.50 in places up from less than 4 bucks, Fuel oil, I filled my tank last spring at 2.39, now its 4.50, gas under 3 bucks now its over 4. Fuel drives the price of every consumer item which is why Biden is dumping crude on the market.

I have no doubt others are making it work also, doesn't mean they like it.

I’m unhappy Biden hasn’t done more on climate change and student loans so am voting straight R this fall.

Tell that to everyone living on a fixed income. I agree gas prices are a bit overblown, but concerns about rising food and materials costs are absolutely valid and those costs will continue to rise if the truckers who move those goods around are paying $5/gal for diesel.

And the reason their income is fixed? "conservative" economics. Why can't people actually see who is the cause for their troubles???

SS can be fixed just by doubling the upper limit where it gets paid. Which will also take care of COLA. There's more than enough taxable wealth and unused money to pay for healthcare for everyone quite easily. Instead, we give tax cuts to the last people who need them.

Bingo.

Funny how the people who whine about gas prices the most are the ones commuting to their jobs in F250s.

Herr derr, ain't gonna catch me drivin' no sissy little car. I'm a man, man, gotta drive me a man's vee-hicle.

Within your joke is really the intractable problem the democrats face. Unemployment and inflation could both be 1.5% and the republicans out there will never admit they were wrong and vote intelligently. And since you can't turn on a single news outlet and not be bombarded with apocalyptic stories of rising gas prices and end-of-days inflation, too many people who may often vote for Democrats will either not bother to vote or will fall for the "they're all bad so vote republican" trope.

It's a tiring notion but turnout is all that matters. It also doesn't help that the good guys do literally nothing to prevent the bad guys from voting, while the bad guys are doing everything they can in a dozen or more states to keep the good guys from voting. And if that doesn't yield them enough suppressed votes to win, in quite a few of these places they will shift gears from suppression to tossing out legally cast ballots so they don't have to count them.

The idiots and the traitors among them who stormed the Capitol last year were misguided at best. But ask yourselves, what would you do if your vote was actually suppressed, or your vote was actually not counted? People who help drive voter turnout are instructed to ask people about their plan to vote, because it helps plant the seed of making sure they actually do go vote. So what will your plan be if you live in a state where your vote won't be counted?

You mean like my parents? They are below the poverty line and they aren't whining about it.

Sorry that dog doesn't hunt.
