Who cares? Let them throw a fit about it, block her and then just appoint her anyways. If the Democrats stop caring this wont be a big deal. The problem is they whine like 2 year olds and make it into an issue.

The people dont give a crap about procedure, they have proven that for years. So just shut up and do it. When the GOP whines like 2 year olds just ignore them and say "Elections Have Consequences" and move on. The Democrats always forget the attention span of this country is worse than a gnats.

I agree with you 100%. The problem is Biden won't do that. We'll see, but I bet he'll care about everything the Republicans say.

The problem is, when its Democrats in power, suddenly, for some strange reason, that attention span increases significantly. Also for some strange reason, everything Democrats do is wrong.
 
Yeah because the Democrats engage. They make it a longer story than it needs to be...basically the same crap Trump does which is why his scandals last forever even when they should disappear rather quickly. If you just ignore it in 2 days no one will even remember who was the head of the OMB or how they got the job.

The Democrats care what people think so when they are criticized by the GOP and people seem upset they reverse course or start begging for people to like them again. This makes them look weak, makes their decision look wrong and that kills them. JUST SHUT UP! Let the Right cry and whine don't engage. Let them block on procedure and then just do what you have to do. If they throw a fit its too late anyways so then just point to their defense of Trump and keep tying them to that. Let them howl at the moon it wont endear them to anyone who doesn't already love them. If you fight them, or if you bow to their BS you will still not get anyone approved (I mean they wouldnt approve Garland after Mitch name dropped Garland as a good pick) and will look ineffective while doing so.

If you want any shot to win the Senate (assuming you dont win both runoffs) in the midterms you need to play the game the right way. That means...stop being fcuking Democrats. Time to bring a gun to a gun fight.
 
I think it would be a good idea to completely disengage from all the rightwing media and pol nonsense once Biden takes office. Just unexist them. They aren't arguing in good faith, they are using the news cycle to sabotage and terrorize. Stop playing their game. Shut them down. Act as if the right does not exist since, on the merits, it doesn't.

That's the plan. Now that whatshisname will soon be history, the regular news can get back to covering those actually trying to work on things and ignore the children.

That would help but inherently the problem is everything that comes out of Republicans mouths is either a lie or a hypocrisy of some sort. And the media will two sides everything giving the lies and hypocrisy equal weight against the Democrat.

Chuck Todd has extreme expertise in framing Republican BS as an actual argument with valid points.

Until we create a POTUS 46 thread, I'm putting this here Working from home, had the TV on earlier, watching Days Of Our Lives for a few minutes and the network cut in for a Biden press conference. W00t! Cheering because that kinda shows that a network news organization is actually considering him as the next president and covering him accordingly.

Exactly. He's getting on with governing the nation.

When the obstreperous brat at the party acts up to get people to pay attention to it the adults don't. Even when the parents are indulgent, the adults ignore them and their POS and get on with doing adult things.

I think Biden has handled this perfectly. Let Trump and company beclown themselves. Look and act presidential, and do the things that the President Elect can and needs to do.

I think you’re wrong. I don’t doubt that he’ll make an authentic effort to work with McConnell, but when it clearly falls apart, the same way it did in 2009/2010, and all of Obama’s presidency, Biden won’t forget that. I think he’ll do what he can through executive orders...unfortunately, that’s all they are. Restoring calm with foreign affairs won’t hurt either.
