That is what my gf is praying for!

Is Al living here these days?

Franken was an outstanding Senator. I enjoyed voting for him in 2008 against that dipsh-t Norm Coleman. That said, weren’t there like five or more women who accused him of sexual misconduct or assault? He absolutely should have had a chance to have the full Senate investigation, rather than told to get out by Gillibrand et al. I can understand the frustration with the process.
That all said, I think Minnesota has a deep enough Democratic bench that it could fill the Senate seat with someone less controversial?
Edit: I realize this is all hypothetical. I’m a little shocked that more outlets haven’t mentioned Klobuchar as a candidate for any cabinet position, much less AG. Of course, Buttigieg is destined for one because of his endorsement. Where is Klobuchar’s reward for her endorsement? Clearly, I could be missing something.

I think it is 3...and maybe one was credible.

Alright, three. I read seven, but the article was confusing, so I hedged and said five. So, again, assuming there wasn’t collaboration between the alleged victims, that’s three independent variables. So, credible person is 50/50 telling the truth. Non-credible people are 10/90 telling the truth. The math asks: do you want to risk good PR when there’s a sizable chance Franken committed sexual misconduct or worse? I know MN has a deeper bench than that, which avoids controversy and still achieves Democratic priorities.
Handy, what am I missing about Klobuchar not being mentioned for a cabinet role? Am I reading the wrong articles?

The only credible one was he might have grabbed a butt at the State Fair...and I use credible loosely. The one he got in trouble for was 100% bs.

As for Amy...give it a couple weeks.

Why bother with a retread? For all the blather about how great Minnesota is and how smart its residents are ;-), surely there's an option as good or better than Franken, and without the baggage.

Franken is great but TBH he is wasted as a pol, he's much too smart.

Al should be one of our main party leaders. Any trained monkey with nice hair can be out in front of the camera.

I honestly don’t know who the up and comers are, esp if we are thinking younger and female.

I hope to god ilhan Omar’s name doesn’t come up. She needs way more time in the house as she’s never taken the time to gain experience and learn at whatever level she’s been at

Agreed. Omar doesn’t belong anywhere near the senate.

You guys don't have to get the vapors over that. We all know you hate her. MN will have a nice, safe Senator who believes and says nice, safe things. That is indeed as it should be.

Yes and no. Franken is really good on camera and smart enough to cause some damage in the senate. I don’t think he’s interested in the party leadership.

Oh **** off. We’ve discussed this before. I love the squad outside of her.

Oh four stars right back atcha. Omar's ahem peculiarities put the wind up some people. That's fine. That's why she represents her district (perfect) but if she ever wants to get any place nationally or probably even statewide she will have to do it behind the camera, not in front.
