Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

We need three goals. We're playing with four defensemen, only two of which started the season playing D. Everyone is sucking wind on every shift. We look terrible. This is a disaster.

But But But you have Megan Keller. How can this be?

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

In the mean time, Clarkson has given up 3 power play goals to Cornell and trails 3-1 after 1 period. OH NO!!!!!

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

Final 4-1 Providence. OUCH.

In the meantime in the ECAC, after 2 periods
Cayley Mercer scores 2 goals in 13 sec in the last min of period 2 and Cornell-Clarkson are knotted at 3-3.
Cornell is on the PP to start period 3.
Brown over Hahvad 2-0
RPI over Princeton 2-1
Quinnipiac 1 Union 0 (shots are 32-8 Quinny  )
Dartmouth 2 Yale 0

Great job by Brown, beating Harvard with a split squad. :D

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

Minnesota up 2-1 after two periods. Nicole Schamnel scores with 2.3 seconds left in the period, as Jenny Ryan hauled her down, so the Gophers start the third on the power play.

Great game by both teams so far.

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

Wisconsin - Minnesota ends in a 1-1 tie, meaning Gophers clinch second place in the WCHA (meaning they get Bemidji in the playoffs)

Shoot-out coming up.

----

Wisconsin wins shootout 2-1 in five rounds. No scoring in the first three rounds, both score in round four and shooting second Badgers win in five.

Re: Weekend Scores, Feb. 17-19

Scoreless first period between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Definitely not a fan of the behaivor of#18 for Wisconsin in this game.
