FWIW Bowdoin out shot Hamilton 38-19. It will be interesting to see who Meagher puts in net next weekend. Messina was in net tonight.

A bit of a lull, then at 4 PM the deluge starts and we'll be playing most of the evening.

Picks for Game of the Day? Wesleyan at Trinity looks intriguing. This is the third straight game they've played vs. each other. Hate is good -- it keeps a man alive. We keep you alive to post in this forum. Post well and live....

I'd pick Geneseo @Plattsburgh as the game of the day, two very good teams.

That's interesting -- the ECAC-E went to 2 Ref / 2 Line at the UNE - UMB game. NESCAC used 2 Ref / 1 Line.

I'm pretty certain the ECAC East was 2 ref/2 line in the conference tournament as well last season.

So Bowdoin went into the third trailing by a goal and then got 3 goals in the last 8 minutes to win it. Just checked out the box score...they hada total of 5 shots on net in the third period...the 5th shot (and goal) was on an empty net. Is this a typo?

If not - wow...they really pulled that game out of their *#!

There were probably more than 5 shots but not many -- there were a couple of pipes hit, which of course that don't count as shots. it was one of those awful trapping periods -- Hamilton had only 2 shots in the third period. .

The Norwich drumline is livening up Kreitzberg in preparation for tonight's ECAC East Quarterfinal between the No. 1-seeded Cadets and 8th seeded Southern Maine.

This is great! Hope it becomes a gameday tradition at NU. Now all we need is the arc of swords for every entrance.

The last time I saw the swords was the night they raised the 2003 National Champion banner.

Definitely makes for an intense atmosphere with the drums here.

It wasn't last night when the women played. It was "interesting" working Potsdam radio without having any idea how much time was left, especially on power plays. They got the corner scoreboards working by the second period, but the center ice one never got going.

My thought -- get one of those targets like they have at the known distance range, but impose a picture of a net on it. On every shot on goal, lower it and raise it back up with a picture of a puck where it was on target.
