Bowdoin's game is run and gun. They live by it, and the last two years in the NCAA tournament have died by it. The defensemen crash, move the puck and look to jump into the play. Neutral ice is about creating turnovers and transition. There is no trapping as far as I can tell and even if there were, it's against the program's DNA at this point. Few DIII programs are as fun to watch. Congrats to Oswego for taking the game over in the final ten. All three goals were good ones.

Bowdoin's best weapon is, and always has been their coach. He figured out a way to keep the Lakers on the ropes for a long time. Oswego was the best team to come in to the Stafford this year (especially the second visit) and anything they do from here on in won't surprise me at all.

Would somebody please tell Geneseo's ice crew how to affix the net on it's mooring for heaven's sakes !!! It's been going on for years and years. Count the number of play stoppages due to the net coming off (sometimes conveniently). I can't believe the NCAA doesn't have guidelines on how to accomplish that simple task up to standard. That said, go Geneseo !!

After watching the OZ-Bowdoin game this Geneseo game is like watching someone poor molasses. I know things appear faster live but there isn't much flow to this one.

As an unbiased watcher I believe those two goalie interference calls to be correct. Both contacts took him off his skates. That is textbook interference. I thought the refs did a good job other than somehow missing a Bowdoin player upending an Oz player with his stick.

The refs were horrible as always. The goalie interference calls were however correct. Waterstreet especially should not have got himself in that position. Bowdoin got away with a lot and the whistle on what should have been Oswego's second goal was a terrible call but you just have to battle through it.

Nichols cannot afford a run and gun game with Genny. They're the best shooting team in the 1st round and just need to work on getting turnovers and good shots.

And Norwich crosses the Hudson (and Mohawk) to play Geneseo on Sunday.

Some pretty good pressure by Nichols down the stretch. Geneseo will have to look a bit sharper if they're going to beat the Cadets.

If they take the thruway they will have to cross the Clyde River (stream) as well.
