Denver will get to either play rival CC or rival UND in the finals.

Bemidji, you had a very good run, especially in your first year in the WCHA. You played well today, but Denver was just a bit better. The turning point was the powerplay to start the third. Perhaps if Bemidji scores there, it's a different game. Unfortunately for Bemidji, Denver killed it off, scored soon after, and then took control.

We're all impressed by the skills JZ displays game after game. But I'm also impressed by his willingness to mix it up, throw the body and get into somebody's face if necessary. For sure, that kid is no show pony.

I didn't think the officiating was all that bad. I did think Bemidji got away with a huge crosscheck in front of the net just prior to scoring their second goal that gave them the lead. There was also the big miss on the too many players against Bemidji as well. Other than that, I didn't think any of the called penalties were too bad.

DU into the title game, 6-2. This sets up what psychologists call an approach/avoidance conflict. Who do we want to win? Just based on the strength the Sioux have shown all year, probably CC. But how can a DU fan root for CC? There are good arguments to be made on either side of this one. It's like a game between Texas A & M and Notre Dame--can they both lose?

DU will be looking for their 6th Broadmoor. Their opponent will either be looking for their 7th (North Dakota) or 1st (CC).

How about a 6 OT game to make sure whoever wins tonight is exhausted tomorrow. :D;)
