WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

Re: WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

It's now been amended to show:
Minnesota and Wisconsin are former members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, which continues to operate.

interesting talk with a restaurant manager last night. their business missed the old WCHA Final Five and all the revenue it brought in. she especially singled out the North Dakota fans for their extra-ordinary abilities to eat and drink.

Game day is upon us and the death(Red Wings writers) of the WCHA is exaggerated, great hockey will be played.

Michigan can keep the little 6 tournament.

Considering their best restaurant is the Olive Garden, I'm not surprised. ;)

Go Tech. If not Tech, I suppose the Landcows will do, only because a couple friends are alums.

Tech-Mankato-Tech here.

GFM

I see it going this way as well, but hopefully the Mavericks bring that Broadmoor right back home to Mankato.

With no offense to FSU or BGSU, another MTU-MSU matchup would be awesome for college hockey fans and truly a treat to watch.

The old Final Five definitely is missed among St. Paul business owners. McGovern's is now the pregame home for Maverick Hockey thankfully! Pregame party there this afternoon, and again tomorrow if they win.

Re: WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

Personally I would have like to have seen the NCHC and WCHA work together and bring their two tournaments to the area in a way that I could see all the games. I definitely would have been up for watching 4 games at the X today with the teams they have going today and tomorrow. SCSU vs ND, Denver Vs Miami, MSU Vs Ferris and Tech vs BG. Id gladly have paid to watch 7 of the best teams in the country play. Heck I sit all day and watch High School hockey. But oh well. Im just hoping for a decent crowd. I unfortunely cant make it tonight but will be there tomorrow regardless.

as for me I would like to see Tech and MSU again but I also wouldnt mind Ferris and BG. THe more the WCHA teams in the better. Im really interested to see how well Tech and MSU play w/ the future sealed where as BG and Ferris are playing for tomorrow.

We've got The Liffey.

I love that the Big 10 is crashing and burning. :D

Eh, I like it this way. I have no interest whatsoever in watching any of those other teams.

I'm with you on this. I tried to find a way to catch the third place NCHC game, but can't even do that with the 6:07 PM start for the WCHA on Saturday. I think a combined tournament would benefit everyone.

Just hoping we have a better turn out than the B1G. Less than 3,500 for WI vs MI last night...

Have you seen the pictures? There's no way there were more than 1200 people at that game. Michigan fans are complete frauds.

Re: WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

Any word if Fox Sports Go is simulcasting the games yet? In a Twitter exchange with the WCHA yesterday, they said they needed to confirm, but thought it would happen.

I want to watch North Dakota play, and so while it's not ideal, I'll be at Target Center for the UND game then over to St. Paul to watch the Mavericks. It would be fun to bring both together, and would create a much more "old Final Five" atmosphere in St. Paul. Love that idea honestly.

This is typical Hockeytown COLLEGE attendance. It's only Hockeytown for the Red Wings.
