Dirty,
I spent every penny you sent me on drugs.
Everyone else,
I've a favor to ask which I don't expect many of you will abide; yet if even just one person does I'll be glad I asked.
UAA has had an unwritten policy in the past with regard to jersey retirements; they just didn't do it. But that changed last season with some Basketball related jersey retirements. March is the month that they typically consider requests for nominations to the their Hall of Fame.
This month I'm making an effort to have existing UAA Hall of Fame member Mike Peluso's #24 jersey officially retired by the program. With the importance that the Gopher faithful (and every other Minnesota resident for that matter) places on their home grown talent, I hope you can all join me in seconding the nomination. You can help make this Stanley Cup Winning native Minnesotan and current twin cities resident the first hockey player to have his jersey retired by UAA.
To do so, simply send an email to chrisgreen@uaa.alaska.edu .... Chris is the current chair of the HOF committee. Thanks for your consideration in this matter and in advance of your decision to support it.
Done.
Ditto.
Thirded, although my email was short and sweet.

MN in 3 close games.
Remember Mankato?..........![]()
I love how the SUE fans cant get enough of Gopher hockey, may be its because they are hoping they can cheer the Gophers on when they get knocked out of the tourney! UAA will come to play this weekend but if we play the way we have been we should be good to go to the F5. I would not be surprised by any outcome this weekend but I think UAA would have to play some very inspired hockey, and I dont think their goalie can win it for them this time. Bemidji had not lost in 48 games after leading after 2 periods, and the Gophers ended that streak! So I hope we get to play the SUE so we can end their 9 game unbeaten streak as well, they are going to lose at some point so we might as well open the flood gates. I have to say is F*@# the SUE, and I hope we meet in the F5!
Gophers win this first round in 2
Go Seawolves, I think this could be a good series. I think UAA is going to be the beat the Gophers up with their physical play this weekend. Gophers will struggle to win in three...
If #1 has to play #3, that is retarded. I would hope they would re-seed after the first round to ensure proper alignment. Then if there is upsets, so be it.Thursday at the final 5. #3 seed vs #6 seed and #4 seed vs #5 seed. I thought I heard Woog say the winner of the #4 and #5 seed plays the #2 seed is this correct? I hope thats right. It would be much more satisfying to punish North Dakota in the Championship game rather than a semi. That is if North Dakota makes it to the Championship game.
