Checking with my cliche almanac here: "a win is a win is a win."

Gutty performance by Tech. Robinson played especially well. Ruegs has to be talking to himself on those two saves against him.

Wonder how badly Olson is hurt.

This is the seventh year in a row DU has opened with a home WCHA playoff series. In the previous 6, they're only 3 and 3. Not exactly earth shattering.

I'd be very surprised if he was back on the ice - Jamie Russell didn't say much about him in the post-game interview, but he's happy with the effort of the younger guys. That probably means that he'll rearrange the lines to keep Olson out altogether, even if he could theoretically play.

Oh Tech, why can't you win a game? You make me sad.

But it's ok, I'm not all that sad seeing that my #1 team kicked butt tonight :)

Gwoz says finals and all nighters partly responsible for DU's sluggish effort tonight.

Gwoz - the players were loaded down with exams yesterday and today. Many of them were up late the past few nighst getting ready for their finals. The players are all done with finals and can get a full night's rest tonight. He knows that many of them were tired today and expects them to have more jump tomorrow. He though MTU played well and Robinson was outstanding. He said their penalty kill is vastly improved from earlier in the season.
