The best players for the Gophers did not show up tonight (Haula, Bjugs, Condon, Schmidt, etc.). That's been a main characteristic of their inconsistent play and they didn't bring their A game tonight. Congrats to the CC Tigers...they live to face another day. Howe played outstanding again in net and CC showed speed in transition, and energy in the offensive zone. CC has never won the Broadmoor...good luck to them.

Is Taft the brother of Jenny Taft on the Gopher post game show?

Interesting comment. I was told that all of those things were because of the opponent by Gopher fans.

Nice selective memory. Gopher fans are saying CC is playing well. They aren't saying the Gophs would kill them if they were playing well. After the UND loss to MN, you made a comment something like "if UND had played a decent game, they would have won', which completely discounted the fact that the Gophs were swarming on UND so there weren't a lot of opportunities for unforced errors by UND. A lot of the errors were forced. You gave Mn almost no credit. In this game, CC played a different game plan. They are playing more of a controlled D to make sure they don't get caught on odd man rushes. Heavy back-check pressure is applied, but not so much on the breakout. It is on the breakout, where MN often had good opportunities to set up, where it was most apparent their game was way off. That is not saying CC didn't play well. They played their game very well. MN didn't execute well after the first 5 minutes. Bjugstad just lost the puck off the end of his stick about 6 times, not because of anything CC did. I am sure you will refuse to acknowledge my points, but some will see what I am saying.

I didn't see all of last night's game, but from what I saw, UND controlled more of the game than CC and had more scoring chances, but Howe made some game saving saves. MN didn't look in control very often tomnight. So I am sure in your mind, that is because CC played just as well tonight as last night, no better, and the games looked the way they did because MN is no where near as talented as UND. After all, as long as UND plays a decent game, they will beat the Gophers every time.

Very disappointing performance. I don't think Howe had that many great saves. Gophs didn't get as many good chances as UND last night. Most shots were easy saves and D didn't allow rebound shots. And they missed so many passes that could have set up a decent chance, especially on the PP. Isaakson got burned a few times trying to carry the puck out as one of the last guys back. Hope they figure things out this week. This is not what you call momentum.

Dude, just admit that you were wrong before. I admitted at the time that my initial statement was wrong. I still stand by my statements that were identical to the ones that you made in this thread. Yet, I was (and apparently still am) ripped by Gopher fans. Look in the mirror.
