Nice selective memory. Gopher fans are saying CC is playing well. They aren't saying the Gophs would kill them if they were playing well. After the UND loss to MN, you made a comment something like "if UND had played a decent game, they would have won', which completely discounted the fact that the Gophs were swarming on UND so there weren't a lot of opportunities for unforced errors by UND. A lot of the errors were forced. You gave Mn almost no credit. In this game, CC played a different game plan. They are playing more of a controlled D to make sure they don't get caught on odd man rushes. Heavy back-check pressure is applied, but not so much on the breakout. It is on the breakout, where MN often had good opportunities to set up, where it was most apparent their game was way off. That is not saying CC didn't play well. They played their game very well. MN didn't execute well after the first 5 minutes. Bjugstad just lost the puck off the end of his stick about 6 times, not because of anything CC did. I am sure you will refuse to acknowledge my points, but some will see what I am saying.
I didn't see all of last night's game, but from what I saw, UND controlled more of the game than CC and had more scoring chances, but Howe made some game saving saves. MN didn't look in control very often tomnight. So I am sure in your mind, that is because CC played just as well tonight as last night, no better, and the games looked the way they did because MN is no where near as talented as UND. After all, as long as UND plays a decent game, they will beat the Gophers every time.
