WCHA Consolation Prize - Wisconsin vs. Denver - 3/20/10

Re: WCHA Consolation Prize - Wisconsin vs. Denver - 3/20/10

If you were such a big Pioneers fan, you'd know that Chevy started and was chased with 3 goals on the first 6 UW shots.

oh yeah, you're right. you're right. hey, good luck with that nomination, lol.

As a huge DU Pioneers fan (and spanky's lover), this game really upsets me. DU probably would have had a chance if gwoz would have STARTED HIS HOBEY BAKER FINALIST GOALIE. what is he thinking, i know they are a lock but he needs to stay battle tested. PLS GWOZ START MARC IN THE NCAAs.

It's posts like this that remind me the USCHO posters are among the most knowledgeable in the land.

Poor Rock, interviewed yesterday and again today.

He's embarrassed and refused to use last night's "physical" game as an excuse. Good for him.

Talent, yes. Work ethic? Questionnable.
I think what you're dealing with is human nature. It's easy for us to think the players should be up for every game and work their tails off no matter what, but when a team has competed at a high level thoughout the regular season and won the most meaningful games, it's almost inevitable that there will be letdowns. I'm not saying it's good, but I can understand why it happens.

Sorry, Nudgy.

I am a little salty today. I don't mind getting beat when the Pios try hard. But the game starts this weekend have been beyond dreadful. A total lack of commitment to play with passion.

Rhett's between period interview said it all. No excuses.

Get back to playing with good habits. Like effort.

Just get through the 3rd with no more injuries. Then put on the Groucho glasses/fake noses, head to the airport and get outta there.

Wisc 5 - DU 1

"We have to respond," Ruegsegger said. "I'll be honest, that was an embarrassing effort tonight. We have to have more pride in the crest on the front of our jersey (today)."

Um, guess not.
