WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

yesss!!!!!

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

Wisconsin wins the draw and ties it up.

WISCONSIN WINS!

Even if the announcer says they won the MacNaughton ... and he doesn't know the last time UW won it,

3-2 final

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

exactly.... murder is okay for the last several minutes and now they call a penalty

Except all of the hooking and tripping was on one team.

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

Whew, I can breathe again. What a game!

And "The MacNaughton Trophy" goes to the Badgers. What a tool. :o

These announcers made Melrose look like he's up on the teams involved.

Maybe they didn't prepare for these two teams?

Congrats to Bucky. Just keep playing the way you have been this weekend and don't put us all to sleep in the NCAAs - Thanks :)

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

Whatever. I'm sure you wanted CC.

Too bad.

I really didn't care but I also don't have blinders on. Both teams got away with plenty the last 10 min. I'm sorry if you couldn't see that. I know officials don't want to make a call to impact the outcome but letting everything go can do just that.

I like the guy in the background yelling "throw your stick" as rumpel gets his tournament team award. Nicely done...

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

And CC never won the Broadmoor..............

Re: WCHA Championship: Wisconsin vs. CC for the Broadmoor - And a NCAA bid

Another participation banner for CC:D

I'm talking about the final minute or so.

Kerdiles was pulled down when he was about to put the puck in the empty net. Should have been an auto-goal as that's the rule if you're pulled down with a chance to score an EN.

There were two other trips/haul-downs in our zone in the last minute before tha call was finally made which prevented us from getting the puck out of our zone.

I understand swallowing the whistle, but that was way over the top. Had to call something or they would have influenced the outcome by not making a call.

I've said my piece. Have the last word.

Either way, we win. See you in the big dance!

You should read what I said again as I said what you just said about not calling anything. We agree on that. However, they didn't call anthing from the 10min mark on and could have made quite a few calls including many in the final minute. I agree the last penalty was indeed the correct call but I find it interesting that you let everything go for 10 min and then call a penalty at the 9 sec mark. I just wish if something is penalty in the first minute, it should be a penalty EVERY minute of the game and not just when they feel like it or think they should.

Look at who the refs were, Anderson and Shepherd, that is all you need to know.
