Also, how about Stephon Williams doing his teammate a solid and forcing the stoppage of the game.

It might be jumping the gun but if you are a top 4 team right now there is no one who you feel confident about playing, except maybe Ferris. Could it be Ferris is the odd man out? What looked like an easy schedule for them down the stretch, now doesn't look easy at all.

Good point. To the credit of the teams and coaches, not only haven't the 7-10 teams given up, they're improving every week, and playing some of the best hockey of anyone. I think at least 1 lower seed gets to St. Paul.

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

Does anyone else play Mankato, Tech and Bowling Green all four times like BSU does this year? Oh, wait, they get to play Mankato five..... :)

Ouch!

One thing's for sure in this league. you can't fall behind BGSU late and expect to win.

I'd like to know what PSU did that incensed the NMU fans so much as well. Otherwise, good weekend, especially if you are Bemidji.

Yeah, well, tonight worked out just fine for you.

Yes it did and it is nice to have a trophy to bring home. But that win doesn't help BSU out in the conference standings at all, unfortunately.....

But from a conference play standpoint, I think BSU has the toughest schedule just due to the fact they play the top three teams for their four gamers.

My understanding is that there was a scrum in front of the net, and a PSU player stepped (accidentally?) on Dahlstrom's wrist, forcing him to leave the game Saturday when the score was 4-1 NMU.

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

not a good week to be meeting Bemidji in Bemidji.
should be a bang-up series, and BG will do well to come away with points.

There's always the chance that they'll be on an emotional letdown after their big weekend in St. Paul.

It is going to be "Brainerd Weekend" at the Sanford Center with two Brainerd HS alums on the Falcon Roster and one on the Beaver Roster. Hopefully with that and the Beavers turning some heads now, the seats will be a little more full.

I doubt that BG will be taking Bemidji lightly. After they played us tough in November plus this past weekend's results (BG's and Bemidji's) we shouldn't be taking ANYONE lightly.

I was wondering about BG this weekend. I haven't watched a single BG game, so I don't know much about the team and how they're playing. Does it seem to you (and other BG fans) that last Friday's game was more of a fluke: ran into a hot goalie, just didn't have "it", etc? Or is BG's play dropping off a little bit, like I think we've seen from Tech in December/January?

Was it a fluke? I sure as hell hope so. Seriously, though, I think that the BG players simply took LSSU too lightly. LSSU came out on to the ice wanting the game more and put BG back on their heels early in the game. By the time BG settled down and took some semblance of control it was too late and LSSU's goalie (the best player on the ice on Friday, imo) shut the door.

Saturday's game is more indicative of how we have been playing all year and I hope to hell that it is indicative of how we'll be playing the rest of the season. Everyone we play from here on out is fighting for positioning in the playoffs and will all come out the same way that LSSU did on Friday night. The sooner the guys realize that the better.
