WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

Yeah....Its actually completely neutral to the league's non-conference record...by definition.

I don't see it as neutral. No matter what the outcome it is certain to move the win percentage closer to 50%. This could be good, bad, or neutral.

It simply won't hurt the league's PWR. Simple Math.

could be two ties too, right? Even if Walt and Corbett agreed to a shootout, the committee views those as ties.

Simple solution: any ties are broken by shootout attempts by goalies. I hear that Carmine Guerreriero has a great backhand-forehand deke from the knob.

Alaska takes out Wisconsin 1 - 0.

Pretty good showing by the lowly WCHA tonight!

saw on twitter that this was the first time Wisconsin was shutout to start the season since Wausau beat them 1-0 in 1931...pretty awesome.

Overall, a pretty good night for the WCHA. Pretty impressed after one night of NC games. Hopefully that carries over to Saturday.

5-3 in non-conference so far, with wins against Michigan, North Dakota, Maine, Wisconsin and Miami. No complaints from me.

So this means that the all-WCHA Frozen Four 2.0 is in the works, right :o

You need to consider that one of the teams playing is UAH though. UAH playing almost any NC series is most likely going to be 2 losses, whereas if NMU plays a different NC series the odds of them sweeping are much lower. So if NMU goes 1-1, and UAH goes 0-2 there is an argument to be made that them playing each other actually helps PWR. But it's late and I'm tired so I might not be making sense.
