Is there anything worse than having your school's letters just stand for simply University of VerMont?

Re: Vermont at Boston College Nov. 14th & 15th

To bad the BC fans here would rather act like a bunch of 7 year olds than actually talk about their team. I know the start has not been as good as they would have hoped for but I didnt know it was this bad.

Yeah, brainwashing is one of the sessions at orientation. A lot of hypnosis is involved.

Recap of the UVM fans from my trip up in October:
1.

2. ************** ******* ********** ******* (clap clap clap clap clap)
3. Oh my GOD!!! IT'S a 1 ON 3!
4. SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT!

Still better than the empty seat immitations I saw when I went down there 2 years ago, and this during a championship year.

UVM fans: Aren't you glad PC fans are too busy making fun of our own coach to start threads like this?

Hi Tony,
The initials UVM stand for the Latin words Universitas Viridis Montis,
meaning University of the Green Mountains.

The school was chartered in 1791 and established as the fifth college
in New England (after Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth and Brown).

BC (Bull Crap)
For your information, BC stands for Boston College. Founded in 1863, we are a Jesuit Catholic university situated in Chestnut Hill. Our main campus is a historic district and features some of the earliest examples of collegiate gothic architecture in North America.

This post is completely relevant to the discussion. NO ONE DENIES THIS!

Re: Vermont at Boston College Nov. 14th & 15th

BC fans: How many goals is your team shaving this weekend? Or is that just what your basketball team does?

Get a life. The only fans that start this crap before the games are know they are the underdog. I can't wait until the Cats leave the dump known as Conte Forum with at least 4 points this weekend. Get some students to come to the game before you start anything.

At this point is seems unlikely that any discussion of hockey is going to suddenly break out here.

I would think we might see both goalies this weekend, Madore first then Spilliane.

Not sure how hurt Cullity is, but the 4 letter word that came out of his mouth on the way to the locker room after he left the ice and the way he was holding his arm makes we wonder. I would think we will see the same 4 lines with Lawson taking Cullity's spot if he is out. Maybe Atkinson or Higgins for one game but not sure who would sit maybe someone off the 3rd line.

Re: Vermont at Boston College Nov. 14th & 15th

I would have bet on seeing both Muse and Milner, but after Muse played both games this weekend, they may have him back on a full schedule, assuming he was without pain on Sunday.

5,976 fans per game last year... highest in Hockey East... just sayin'. Yes, we play in an oversized basketball arena. Yes, it sucks. But no, I don't think Vermont would bang out a 6,000 seat arena every game.

Also, I echo the sentiments expressed earlier about Gutterson being a rathole. I was very disappointed, because I'd heard good things. I would think that "The University of Minnesota of the Greater Lake Champlain Area" would have a better facility. Now that you're a member of the College Hockey Royalty, I would imagine a new venue is in order?

Just to let you know, our 'freshmen' forwards Joe Whitney, Barry Almeida and Jimmy Hayes have helped lead BC to three wins since last we met and several of you determined that BC's season was doooooooooomed. In that same time period, Vermont has one win... against Providence.

Ah, wha happened?
