I couldn't agree with you more! It's unfortunate to all in the tourney that location is the major factor on who plays who prior to LP!

Why should it matter? Lose and you are't champ. If you are good enough to win, you'll beat SNC on Sat. If not does it matter where you lost? The whining about seeding is STUPID

Deep breath NUProf and exhale. I realize when your team gets a first round bye after losing its conference final it's a lot easier to say stop whining about seeding, but we didn't get one so we're allowed :). I'm still pumped the Blugolds are still playing and hope this was a wake up call for them. The whole NC$$ process fails a few teams every year, and this year in particular it's the one that I follow (and would follow from CO or wherever I was just like you). So at the end of the day you're right, we're in and control our own destiny like all eleven teams that are lucky enough to still be playing. Good luck tonight Blugolds and keep this season going!

I almost hate to say it, but, I hope the Bluegolds win. My in-laws live in Mondovi and that makes me a Blugolds fan whether I want to be or not!:)

I just get tired of people whining about seeding. It is what it is. I've seen Norwich left out of the tournament when maybe they should have gotten in. I've seen them get in when maybe they shouldn't have. Ultimately, the fact is if you are in, all you have to do is win out. If you don't win out, you didn't do enough to become champs, and it doesn't matter whether you lose on a Wednesday Night in Eau Claire or a Saturday night in Lake Placid the result is the same. I'm glad my team got a Pool C bid, but we still have to beat our biggest nemesis to keep going. If we lose, there is no reason to blame the seeding - it's reason to congratulate the victors and celebrate what you did accomplish.

Good luck this weekend Blugolds! Way to stay with it last night and find a way to win. I'm not predicting anything but a great game on Sat. night that could go either way. Go get'em Blugolds!!!

Completely understand and I wasn't trying to whine, but see how it looks that way. The whole process is flawed and even if it wasn't someone will still find something wrong with how it's done. Right now I'm just enjoying the Blugolds playing hockey in March!! :)

Gotta say sometimes I check the blogs just to see all the chatter and who's getting slammed for their posts.
At the end of the day - your team did what they had to in order to stay alive (for now).

Just wondering why the bluegilds have 7 D1 transfers and 2 D3 transfers on the team, as opposed to the other Wisconsin schools that have 1 or maybe 2, is there a special school here or engineering school on capus or soemthing like that? Does the coach have a special connection like a summer camp or jr team?? We at oz have had a few here and there as well but nothing like 9.
