And I said it in the recruit thread but I'll repeat it here: a source tells me that Misley is 95% likely to be headed to UVM for this upcoming season (so a year early)

Also, if anyone cares what happened to the second UVM cut from last season (Jake Kearley), he will be headed to UNLV to play club hockey, per the UVM ACHA Twitter page. Mitch Ferguson, the other cut, is with D-III SUNY-Geneseo.

Nice to see he is still playing as well.
Hope the season coming up will have a few of the rising Juniors step into big roles and the talented sophs and freshmen coming in to really energize the team again.
It's nice that we have a 'solid' goalie returning after playing the majority of games last year. It seems we have been flip-flopping goalies the last 3-4 years.
Can't wait for the rest of the schedule....

At tonight's UVM Athletics Rally Awards:

-Stef Lekkas named men's hockey MVP
-Madi Litchfield named women's hockey MVP
-Ori Abramson named as men's recipient of Sunderland Memorial Trophy for "exemplifying the qualities of character, leadership and persistence in overcoming obstacles."

I would've gone with Hamilton on the men's side MVP, but this year's team was so balanced that goalie seemed to be the safe bet. Litchfield well-deserving on the women's side, it IMO comes down to her vs. Picard.

Maybe this happens at other schools every now and again, but it's a little hard to believe the Cats recruited a player whose game is best suited for club hockey.

Hoping I can make it up to one of these two games. Always fun to see Western teams come out East that you don't get to see often.

I know CC is a far cry from their glory days, but will still be cool.

Christian Evers

Bryce Misley
Vlad Dzhioshvili
Martin Fréchette
Ace Cowans
Max Kaufman

Also Misley was just drafted by Minnesota in the fourth round!

Seems like Abramson got that extra year of eligibility - he is listed as a redshirt senior on the UVM roster page. Conor O'Neil is also listed as a redshirt sophomore after missing most of last season with a torn ACL.

Also of note: Cam Klein, Kevin Irwin, and Mike Lee are nowhere to be found.
