No. Disgruntled parents complaining about playing time and putting that ahead of winning. Nothing more toxic than that.

Considering UC's terrible financial situation I highly doubt any player is getting anything close to a full ride to go there. Are they finding other sources to give recruits more benefits most likely yes but we've had that debate on these forums at least 100 times. I've also heard from oz players directly and some of the blue line guys with inside knowledge that heenan is still telling recruits they're moving to d1 which is just straight up lying at this point. Yes I don't have any direct proof but when multiple people keep saying the same thing as the saying goes where there's smoke there's fire. His roster turnover is also concerning.

Yeah, that one stung. Third period leads used to be a done-deal for SNC. But, like you said, all of D3 has really leveled up. It's a bummer that Utica couldn't follow through the rest of the way though - I prefer to have our season ended by the champion.

Now, I actually agree with you that parents should not have an impact on team culture, however that is an idealist and impractical scenario in reality.
I would be interested to see the turnover stats for the Utica program as backup to the claim. All I know is that Utica has played Hobart super tight for 3 games in a row. I don't know how their parents feel, whether they need to go to AA or whether the coach is a "good guy", all I know is that they played tough last year and earlier this year. As far as Hobart, I love Coach Taylor and the environment he provides for his players that has resulted in the success the last 3 years , which includes academic success and job placements post Hobart hockey. The hockey alums and alums in general help out with internships and post graduation.That said, if Heenan tries to steal any of our players , I don't think they'll listen even for a new car from a booster NIL deal. We give them free tickets to the Cooler for Life with a pair of long underwear

I actually did once think that JSicedog was Gary Heenan. But I no longer do. Mainly because JSicedog offered to meet me at a game once, but I was unable to make it for that particular game. And if it was Gary himself, he would not have "exposed" himself like that.
