Frothing-at-the-mouth Utica fans will have a decent shot, Shabby, as long as they get online immediately at noon. (Or before?)The Nexus Center is nice but it only holds somewhere around a thousand people, just announced on channel 2 the games are at the Nexus Center. Good luck getting a ticket !
I would have to agree with your assessment. The hardcore season ticket holders (we were for25 years until family issues got too difficult, just last year) have likely snapped-up every available seat, and the few SRO left will go in 5 minutes tomorrow. Or maybe 3 minutes. Or two...Just now checked: Seats still available for Hobart-Geneseo game. SRO (and I would guess not many) left for the Utica-Curry game.
Hobart deserves something similar.UU fans, I just checked out the Nexus facility online tour, which is totally awesome. You are lucky to have a resource like this. Good luck this weekend....but not too much![]()
NCAA.com will stream all the games (and are the only ones allowed to). You have to give them an email address, but it can be a fake one. They never verify.I'm too old to deal with the hassle of trying to get a ticket. Too much commotion etc. Local tv should cover the games, or ESPN+. Will UU stream the games at least ?

They should at least have an app for Roku and streaming devices like they do for D2 championships. But of course, D3 gets to watch games on a computer screen unless you are savy enough to know how to stream it.NCAA.com will stream all the games (and are the only ones allowed to). An HDMI cable from your laptop to your TV should allow you to watch it on your TV. If you have a Roku TV, you should be able to just "screen mirror" your computer onto it.They should at least have an app for Roku and streaming devices like they do for D2 championships. But of course, D3 gets to watch games on a computer screen unless you are savy enough to know how to stream it.
Roberts - .877 save %, never found his game from last year. Last game in a Utica jersey let in 5 goals on 12 shots against UNE. Over 6 games at Eau Claire he had an .876 save %. Simply put, wasn't good enough. Landsberger was hurt much of the year. Piros has a .921 save % and has been great for them. He had 1 bad game vs Geneseo in the conference final.I'm 74, long time Utica fan. I've become a member just to ask a couple question that I don't understand, then I'll go away.
Could someone explain to me the goalie situation? Why did Roberts leave? UCHC MVP in playoffs last year to being benched this year?
What happened to Landsberger? Hasn't played a game for any of second half, not even when Utica got pummeled by Geneseo. Lastly, what does Heenan see in Piros? Undersized freshman that comes in from team with no wins & plays every game. Does not impress me at all. No better than Roberts or Landsberger, in my opinion. If Utica had a Hobart or Curry caliber goalie I think they'd have just as good a chance as Curry to get to the finals. As far as that goes, Hobart has an awesome team & will be very tough to beat.
Hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks.
What JDog said, yet I'm still not sold on Piros as a big-game guy. He was pretty good/pretty fortunate vs. SNC. (But, perhaps, that game steeled him a bit.)I'm 74, long time Utica fan. I've become a member just to ask a couple question that I don't understand, then I'll go away.

Thanks for reminding me that he faced them twice while playing for Dubuque.Piros looked solid all three times he played SNC this year.
I missed the first game when he was chased halfway through, but he was as lights out as you can be in a 5 GA performance in the Saturday game. He faced 54 shots and had absolutely no help in front of him. Made several great saves. It easily could have been 10-0 with a lesser goalie in net. Thanks for reminding me that he faced them twice while playing for Dubuque.
I ran the numbers: over the 3 games v. SNC, he posted a 0.887 save %.
Not encouraging.
Conversely, Curry is 3-2 vs top 10 rated offenses in the country. (1-1 vs Cortland, 2-1 vs UNE). And were outshot in 4/5 of those games.I just don't see how Utica can overcome a Soderwall led Curry team. They don't have the equivalent defense and goaltending to keep this a low scoring game and hope for a lucky goal to win it.
