Don't think it matters what teams can afford. If I'm not mistaken this tab is on the NCAA.

Wow you guys aren't kidding, what a mess from 5-8. I ranked them within that subset based on this weekend's result alone to break the tie.

1) Minnesota -- FFS

2) Wisconsin
3) Cornell

Teams are on the move. Who is hot and Who is NOT.

A few surprises this week (at least to me).

- After struggling in many games recently, barely winning over teams in the lower echelons of the league, Harvard wins over Cornell in a game where both teams are fielding a short bench.

- Yale continues to impress, this time a tie against a very hot Clarkson team.

- BU is falling of the Map all of a sudden. Losses against PC and NEU.

- RMU looks to be for real, taking 3 of 4 points vs Quinnipiac, including a 5-1 win.

- Thing are proceeding ho hum in the west, top three all sweep.


The net result is some more movement, Cornell, Quinnipiac and BU moving down. RMU big mover upwards.


1 - Minnesota (1).....W,W.......Winning two games they are expected to win.
2 - Wisconsin (2).....W,W........Winning two games they are expected to win.
3 - UND (5)............W,W........Winning two games they are expected to win.
4 - Clarkson (4).......T,W.......Tie vs Yale is better then Cornell losing to Harvard who lost to Yale
5 - Cornell (3).........W,L........Loss vs Harvard, dropping below Clarkson (IMHO, seen both teams live recently)
6 - BC (7)..............W,W.......Keep moving on up, 2 solid wins
7 - Harvard (8)........W,W.......Maybe I was too harsh on them last week, Win over Cornell moves them up a bit.
8 - RMU (10)...........T,W........Big weekend form them and they delivered. 3 points from Quinny.
9 - Quinnipiac (6).....T,L........Though weekend vs RMU, will hurt them in the pairings.
10 - BU (9)..............L,L........Fading fast, might drop out of top ten next week, but nor sure who else deserves to be top 10, most likely MU.

P.S....Take note you Westerners. Giving credit where credit is due.

I seem to recall you proclaiming me the biggest troll or somesuch...
only to yank the title away from me 2 days later and proclaim yourself the king of the trolls

As last week, the KRACH ranking is the most accurate of the rankings this week,
only differing from the average in the #3 & #4 position
both KRACH & Rutter place Robert Morris #6 as does the Pokechecker Index
while the coaches poll place them too low & the RPI too high
which is the whole point of the Pokechecker Index,
to resolve such wide rage ranking differences.

2) University of Wisconsin 2-2-2-2=8
3) University of Ontario - Ithaca 4-4-3-3.5=14.5 (with the loss to Harvard, more Canadians is the obvious solution)
4) University of Manitoba -Grand Forks 3-3-6-3.5=15.5
5) Harvard 5-5-4-5=19
6) Robert Morris 6-6-5-7.5=24.5
7) University of Ontario - Potsdam 7-8-7-6=28
8) Boston College 8-8-8-7.5=31.5
9) Boston University 9-9-9-9.5=36.5

and I'm calling 10th place a tie between Quinnipiac & University of Ontario - Duluth because I'm too lazy to look up the actual place of Quinnipiac in the Rutter, and University of Ontario - Duluth doesn't appear in the the USA Today/US Hockey or coaches poll. Both finish with ~41 to 43 points, well behind #9 which itself is solidly behind #8.

More Canadians is the right option. After all, it was a Canadian in the Harvard Nets that was the key in the Harvard win.
