Interesting that the experts here have given Northeastern, Cornell and Princeton each the same range of #3 to #7, with Clarkson and Providence each meriting the same #4 to #8 range. Bringing of the rear five teams are vying to be the clear #9, with each bringing in NR votes.

There were several players on the ’80 Olympic team that never played college or pro hockey again.

I wonder if burnout has anything to do with it. Last year had to be pretty intense, especially after they added the 3 players to the roster. Then there is playing in front of 10,000 people and the world, and coming back to playing in an empty arena and going to school.

They may be down in the rankings but IMO, they are the team most likely to be moving up in the polls after the break, and from #3 on down, the team with the most capability of beating #1 & #2.

Yes, the Gabel, Giguere, Pezjlova line is their scoring line and after that other than Cianfarano these 4 account for 49 goals while the rest of the forwards have 15 total. They really miss senior forward Rhyne McGill, out this year with an injured hip per a fan on the Clarkson Roundtable, for both her scoring and defense. Gonna be an interesting 2 game set with Northeastern in Northern Ireland in early January.

1. Wisconsin - The least flawed team.
2. Minnesota - How good could this team be with a functioning on all cylinders, 2nd line?
3. Northeastern - Evidently, a team in green is not their kryptonite.
4. Princeton - These Tigers appear to have some bite to their game.
5. Cornell - Need a little larger sample size to consider red over orange.
6. Ohio State - Maybe they're good enough to not do the skullduggery with the 3rd uniform?
7. Clarkson - Headed in the wrong direction but they do have a history of turning it around when it counts.
8. Providence - Hard to believe they are the 2nd HockeyLeast team to be ranked ahead of bc.
9. Colgate - Not a good look for them to have given up a snowman to Mercyhurst.
10. bc - They are in full pairwise panic mode.
