Found this by accident: Freebird

The first comment: I can't believe how hot everyone's grandmas are

The South: where all* the women are gorgeous and all the men are repulsive.

* Well, those under** 300 lbs.

** Which is to say, 90% of them under 25 and 10% of them over 25.

The National: I Am Easy To Find

Took me a bit to get into this album, but now I like it.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

On twitter, someone mentioned "any song can be sung as a lullaby, if sung soft enough."
Well, a few people countered with "any song can be sung as punk, if sung punk enough."

Many a great find in the following posts. :D

I'll pat myself on the back with the first response:

The discussion DEF got deeper than the obvious. ;)

Speaking of covers, this is the first bearable version of Wonderwall I've heard.

There are soooooo many good punk covers of songs, and many will not be really known, because the bands are so obscure. Back in the Limewire days, I honestly did a search for "punk covers" and let my computer run overnight, then spent a few hours weeding out the bad ones, and keeping the good ones.

On the flipside, the hillbilly versions of songs (like The Gourds' Gin And Juice, or anything by Hayseed Dixie) are equally entertaining.
