Setup the turntable for the first time in five years tonight. Threw on Superunknown. I forgot how different this sounds on vinyl - a lot less bass-heavy.

I don't think I've ever listened to an actual vinyl album. I'm sure in some circles that makes me a bad man, but my parents never owned any and I've never had a great sound system where I could even appreciate the difference, I'm sure.

Rancid! :D

If you haven't, check out Lars' side project Lars Frederiksen And The Bastards. "Skunx" is a fave of mine. And he does a killer cover of "To Have And Have Not."

I'll check them (him) out. Haven't yet.

Now listening to Kasabian - Live at the O2

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Now doing Tom Waits - Small Change, Heart of Saturday Night & Blue Valentine on shuffle.

My favorite era of TW for sure. Love the drunken night club singer.

These songs evoke so many memories from the 70s. I swear I knew some of the characters and places that he sings about, even if I was just a kid.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Most of the Eric Church studio library. I forgot to add one of his albums, which of course had the ONE song I really wanted (Sinners Like Me, album is the same name). I brain-farted on that miss. But, I will buy it soon enough.

Yes, I, lover of rap and metal and hard rock and hater of country, has become a Church convert. Still not a fanboy like bbdl, though.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Chronixx - Dread & Terrible

EMF - Stigma
