I'm bowing out of this year's league. I'm trying to cut down on fantasy sports a little. Last year I had 2-3 FFL leagues, and I was in 2 baseball leagues. It was a little hectic in September, and a tad dizzying for the other months.

Since Yahoo would not let me set up a private league this year, I chose to renew last year's league. I sent invites to all of last year's participants (except Brenthoven), and there's space for 7 more. Let me know your email and I'll send an invite.

I would cap it at 10. I am already in a really deep league, and it is not as fun when you get into players that do virtually nothing every week. I think 8-10 is the ideal number for a league.

10-12 is always the best for a league, in my experience. Listening to a local radio station, they are running some FFL team names:

Caught Red Hernandez
Cooper Klux Klan
McClusterf*

Okay... time for depth back draft advice (I'm in a 10 man keeper league, so the draft is invariably for promising rookies and depth players)...

I'm dropping Montell Owens, and wondering if I should pick up Shane Vereen (NE) or Chris Ivory (NYJ). Currently leaning towards Ivory.

Although not in THIS league, gonna assume that this will be FFL talk overall.

I need to crunch, and soon. Draft on the 25th. Just started my reading/studying. Will start out with Ivory, though. I like him, but that team............ugh.

Live auction draft on ESPN. I have learned that in these auction drafts you need not limit yourself to one top end RB. To wit:

Has anyone heard anything about this Ryen Otten kid? I have been in three mock drafts and two live drafts today and this kid always has a bidding war erupt when he gets nominated. I can't even find him on the Jacksonville depth chart.

And it's Jacksonville. My mag is hyping that Montee Ball for DEN and that RB for CIN. Dunno about that.

I got Bernard in the 12th round of my draft (8 teams) for my school league. So you could pick him up late round for a potential steal.

Also, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE JOIN THE LEAGUE. We've only got two signed up so far.

I'm not sure if I can. Shirtless is the one that made the league, I think he might be the only one that can send out invites. It's just funny because like five or six (not a lot but it's what we had last year) people expressed interest but we've only got two signed up so far. Still have nine days before the draft but the league as been set up for 15.

Thanks. I haven't logged into my Yahoo account in ages and see someone had been busy. A spammer had hacked it and was sending everyone in my contacts garbage. They also set up a twitter account but only used it for one tweet.

Anyways, I am signed up now. I see we still need one more before we even are an official league.
