I found applesauce puffs. Yummy.I've had brownies made with applesauce instead of oil/butter (8th grade home ec).
Maybe try it in a baked good.

Yes, very common in low-fat muffins. I've also heard of using prune baby food in brownies for the same purpose; retains moisture without adding fat/cholesterol.
Still sugar/white flour bombs, though.
I don't think I'd stray too far from the john if I ate a couple of those.
