USCHO.com Fan Forum Hall of Fame Nominations

Re: USCHO.com Fan Forum Hall of Fame Nominations

Yup, that one. Thanks--good to know it's already there. I couldn't remember if it was and was too lazy to look.

I read it once a year, to never forget. That's about all I can take of that day before anger/illness/etc start to creep in. :(

I read someone had a hard copy. Email please? That would be really "cool" to add to my vault of lifetime events container.

One from the vaults ...

One from the vaults ...

I'm not sure how this would work, but as one of the Board Old Farts, I need to point out The Sicatoka and The List threads. He's been doing that *forever*, and I sincerely believe it needs recognition.

I also second and call a vote for any and all of the Ol' Story Threads...back when we could all get along making fun of each other, and not get suspended or banned for it.

ETA: What was the name of the thread with The Crying Gionta Lawn Sprinkler?!? I think Chuck started it; maybe "The USCHO Store"?!? That was AWESOME!!!

Hi Jen ... I forget the exact name on the latter, but for some reason I think it was under something like the "Supah-Fan Supahstore". And yes, there was a "Cryin' Brian Lawn Jockey/Sprinkler" IIRC. Sold out quite quickly too. :D

That was phenomenal.

I'd like to nominate the thread that evolved from a Hockey East Quiz for UVM fans to people being compared with tire swings and kicking {PROVICED out of Hockey Rast. ;)

That's the thread that spelled the demise of Bobo, IIRC.

Hey Chuck! Long time no see! :)

Long time, no see. Glad to have you back, even if it is for a short while.

You don't happen to have the Chuck and Bobo trials socked away on a hard drive somewhere, do you? The one with you, Rittiger and Bobo, right before the end of the old board. Million to one shot, but I thought I'd ask.

No, I don't have that one. Wish I did - good fun, for sure! I even forget if we were "convicted" or "acquitted" ... but considering the author, my guess is we didn't escape without some consequences. :(

Jen's question prompted me to search around a little, and sure enough, the old WIS Productions' "Supahfan Supahstoah" thread was saved elsewhere in cyberspace (see link below). Interesting to see the old USCHO website format ... but I think the best part of this gem was how everyone else kinda chimed in and added to the initial concept with their own spin-offs.

Ernie (olddog) and myself used to save some stuff, but probably not as much as either of us now wish we had! :o Thanks for remembering though!! :)

Re: USCHO.com Fan Forum Hall of Fame Nominations

I have to nominate the "Minnesota vs. Bye" Score update thread from this past season. It's been purged now, but for what it lacked in quantity, it more than made up for in quality. It had some of the funniest posts I've ever seen on this board. What truly was amazing about it was that it actually had more posts than all but 4 of the actual game threads from that same evening.

I second and third this nomination

Re: USCHO.com Fan Forum Hall of Fame Nominations

i have an early nomination for the "prayers for priceless" thread as it is once again a wonderful example of the board uniting for a common cause.
