USCHO-3 Fantasy College Hockey League, 2012-2013 Season

Re: USCHO-3 Fantasy College Hockey League, 2012-2013 Season

At some point, the goalie I think is an absolute lock to get me a W on any given night is gonna be a sieve and cost me some serious points. It happens.
If I release a player, I didn't get screwed and lose a draft pick... I released a guy from the roster I didn't think was good enough to win, or whom I thought was going to cost me some points. Maybe I screwed myself by picking the player in the first place. The rules can't, and shouldn't, protect anyone from that. JMO.

Again, this is why I drafted the way I did, so that I wouldn't have to lose a player and waste a draft pick. IMO, an owner should be rewarded for having the keen foresight to structure his/her roster in the way that will bring him/her the most points without having to go through the schedules of all 59 teams to ensure that a draft pick would not go wasted. I understand your objections, so I suppose we can just agree to disagree. The main reason that I brought it up, is that it is an option in every other fantasy league that I play in, and I would like to see it implemented in this fantasy league. Maybe next year...

Michigan D John Merrill (HP1015sPigeons) out six weeks with a small fracture that requires a neck brace, as per Chris Peters (@chrismpeters).

I guess I come across as a little harsh at times. ;)
I'd be interested in how the other other leagues do it. How many players can you have? There's a lot of college hockey players that it wouldn't matter if they're on the roster or not.

I've got 2 goalies going head to head tonight. A tie game or low scoring winner and I probably come out ahead (1-0 would be nice :)). A 7-6 game and I lose big. I'm rolling the dice. ;)
Be diligent and you'll be fine.

I didn't realize you had drafted Rasmus Tirronen. That's a hell of a pick.

Who woulda thunk a goalie who shuts down a top 10 team on the road rides the pine the next game.
Perhaps the entire lineup will be sorted next game... everyone on the roster deserves their fair chance.

Apparently their plan was to rotate goalies early in the season, and I guess they decided to do just that. At least you got your 4 points from Rawlings, and maybe Merrimack learned an early lesson to go with the better goalie.

Re: USCHO-3 Fantasy College Hockey League, 2012-2013 Season

Phil Di Giuseppe disappeared from my roster for about the 5th time, and he actually has a game tonight. What the ****. Looks like I don't get points for him since he always disappears.

Whoever the hoser was busting my balls for having a hard on for SLU players on draft night, I would like to thank them for 12 points after night uno. Knowledge is power ;)

I'm assuming that when USCHO corrects their box scores for the games last night that the scores on FCH will adjust accordingly. Is that correct?

keep an eye on it, fch should rerun box scores 4? Days after the games to check for corrections. I have pivot tables that compare fch to collegehockeystats and I try to let zudmic know any mistakes I notice.

So who do we talk to about last Friday's North Dakota - UAA game? I got 11 points (Grimaldi 1-0-1 (2 points) and Saunders 21 save shutout and win (9 points)) from that game that have yet to show up in the standings. I would like those counted :p:D:D

Pigeons actually had 37 points from his St. Lawrence players alone... 24 pts from skaters and 13 goalie points ( -7 with his other 2 goalies).

Re: USCHO-3 Fantasy College Hockey League, 2012-2013 Season

Pigeons holds onto first place and FS23 makes a big move up on Sunday, picking up 16 points from the BC and Minny games. Lowell goaltender Carr killed FiveHole's bid for sole possession of first place, getting a -6 vs BC.
