US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

OK nobody is saying it so I will. Does anybody notice year in and year out that the selections to the festival usually have a couple of picks that cause you to say "really?". Then after looking over the coaching list you say " Ahh, now it makes sense"

Other folks "Radar" ( :D ) has pickup up on this in the past. As the saying goes. It is what it is. Same happens in Canada. It works both ways. Some recruits pick certain schools to have a better chance to stay on the Radar screen. This is certainly the case for many of the Canadian players in a position to vie for a spot on the various National teams.

Here is an interesting example of a comment from one of those players wrt to a recent choice they made and how it was partly driven by the best option wrt making TC:

The twins definitely on their game in the scrimmage in Blaine this evening. Don't know who the linemate was but she complemented them very well.

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Based on what I witnessed at just yesterday evenings scrimmage I'm not surprised by the absence of a couple veterans. All those on the roster looked very good throughout that one scrimmage. Watching the one scrimmage surely does not qualify my opinion as definitive or authoritative by any means. Just what I thought after that brief exposure to the squads. I'd agree with all the selections.

I asked several people who it was on the line with the twins...no one knew. Very effective line with the twins and the as yet unidentified player. I'd assume the player was among those selected.

Very neat to see two MN HS Seniors Milica McMillian at D & Hannah Brandt at F on this list.

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Well, USA is up 6 - 0 after 2
Dempsy, Chu, Knight x 2, Schoullis, and Kessel with goals. Not enough cyber space left to list the penalties though, 17 between both teams:eek:
