Erdogan has proven himself a fascist wannabe. He cannot be trusted.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was working with Putin on this. They've been getting rather buddy-buddy the past couple of years.

Would kind of make sense. Hurt Saudi and therefore hurt OPEC. "Oh look, both sides are bad, so buy oil from us too."

Russia needs oil, and if we start seeing sanctions on Russia matched with sanctions on other states, maybe there's a better market for Russian oil.

Pretty tinfoil hatty, but it's not the craziest thing I've heard in the last week.

Anglea Merkel stepping down after her term in 2021.

She's basically acknowledging that she's lost a lot of support, and is conceding her position to try and hold her coalition together. It's actually not a bad move, politically.

Assuming she makes it to 2021, she will have been in office for over 15 years. Good time to call it a run, I think. Unless is your name is Stalin, Putin, Mao, etc. ;)

Thatcher?

And, if we didn't have term limits since the 40s, who here would have made 3 or even 4 terms?

Eisenhower, Obama, maybe Clinton. I suspect Nancy might have put the kibosh on Reagan going four more years.
