I guess with Zajac out, Hak needed another body. Frattin must have proved to him that he wanted to come back and will be on his best behavior.

Well, he couldn't use "flying without a net," or "a two goal lead is the most dangerous in hockey," or "the huge ice in the springs" or "the tiny ice in Duluth" so he went with what he had. Give him credit for improvisation.

I hope so. Tomorrow night should be a barn burner. BC is probably chapped about losing to SLU tonight and will be looking to get out of Denver with at least 1 win. DU needs to play as hard or harder as they did tonight tomorrow, a much tougher opponent.

Right. And then there's that Saturday night business. So far, this team hasn't shown the killer instinct, to just steam roll somebody on Saturday night. Tomorrow would be as good a time as any to get that started.

I'm a Big 10 guy by birth, so I would have been pulling for Micigan State anyway. But after the way Tech treated Leach, I hope the Spartans drill 'em. An object lesson for any coach out there, don't recruit any kids whose pappys are big deal analysts on ESPN.

Interesting interview with Gwoz after the game. Players played well and when needed Chevy bailed them out. Good to see players like Maiani get on track but there area few others he would like to see get going offensively.
Tomorrow is a huge game for DU against BC and he set up the showcase format so DU would have to play BC as it means so much for the pairwise. If it had been the tourney format, they would be playing SLU which would not help them in the PWR. He thinks SLU did a great job against BC today.
Finally, he mentioned that both Patrick Wiercioch and Joe Colborne were extremley disappointed in not being asked and/or selected to Team Canada for the WJC. He feels they were shunned because they play college hockey and not in the CHL. He also said both players have been pressured by the CHL for the last 3 or 4 years to play in Canada yet they wanted to go to college. He thinks it is unfair for them to be shunned like this. FYI, for those of you that don't know, Gwoz is Canadian from Thunder Bay, ON. It must hurt him even more to see his players being treated like this by his home country.
