Re: University of North Dakota - Offseason Thread 2010

According to Brad's twitter:

Phil Lamoureux has been called up to the Buffalo Sabres after the elimination of the Portland Pirates in the AHL playoffs.

Nice! Way to go JPL!!

Brian, I have some sad news. Rae Ann passed away today, as her liver gave out. Came up on all of us quickly, as she was seemingly ok a couple weeks ago. Very unfortunate.:(

If you are in town, let me know and I'll buy you a cold one up there. Not sure what's gonna happen with the place, but I hope it can make it.

Yeah, I saw the article in the paper.
Hopefully someone will take it over completely and keep it going...

A friend of mine on facebook said that he's pretty sure nearly everyone in Grand Forks has had a beer with her...I wouldn't doubt it.

Hopefully The Hub keeps going. It's a great place to sit and have a drink or 7...

Dave still works there too? Dave helped out a couple nights a week when I was bartending. Super nice guy.
Tell him hi for me as well, and that my thoughts are with Rae and the Hub gang.

So, while I know it's late for this year, you all might want to hang onto this link for next year: helpful hints.

Just my gift to the UND fans. :)

So I'm just curious. Do you and your fellow fans know that the Red River borders North Dakota on one side and Minnesota on the other? So when it floods it floods the towns in Minnesota too? Just wondering.

Yep, but just Friday nights. It was emotional last night for a lot of us, but Dave was in good spirits as usual. I'll pass on the word for you.

and, you know that when Minnesota became a state, it keep the good side of the river, and gave the bad side to the godforsaken heathens.

oh, and when do the sue players start getting arrested? I always like that part of the sue offseason the best.

I always like the part of the Sioux's regular season when we end yours... enjoy the drama that is your offseason happy because it has to be better than watching your goofs go down the drain again...
