University of North Dakota-2015-2016-Seaason

Re: University of North Dakota-2015-2016-Seaason

Do you know where I can buy a “Remastered” 1929 UND Flickertail sweater?

You can buy that from me too! I have a Letterman sweater from around that time. Ha! You thought you were making a funny and it totally backfired on you!

Re: University of North Dakota-2015-2016-Seaason

Former UND Fighting Sioux quarterback Kory Wahl (91-92) passed away last night from a heart attack. I believe he was 47 years old. Prayers go out to his family. He was a good friend of mine. RIP Kory.

Fighting Hawks??? Small bird, misunderstood, easily frightened, easy to shoot, ugly, annoying, tends to eat mice droppings and its own young, short lifespan, loves semi-barren farmlands, can't fly long distances, spreads disease. Did I miss anything?

About a season and a half of under-performing gopher hockey.

Re: University of North Dakota-2015-2016-Seaason

Just to get this over with YES Fighting Hawks is terrible!!! Every real college hockey fan can agree on that. It's a shame it came down to being forced to pick from a terrible list just to make pres. Kelley happy before he gets fired. Whatever it's done.

Now that's over with can we please get Tomek in net!! Ya hrynkiw has been ok but he has played weak teams and has looked shaky in all of them. It's time to go to with the #1 and have a backup they know they can trust in if they have to.

The final five was good. The final pick wasn't.

Here's a very interesting article about the whole nickname nonsense that brings to light a lot of things I didn't know or have even seen discussed here in the forum, penned by none other than William Brotherton, the lead counsel in the lawsuit filed against the University of North Dakota to stop the nickname vote:

http://www.thedickinsonpress.com/opinion/columns/3889137-brotherton-gee-about-fighting-hawks-name

If he is correct in his assertions about the name as well as the Indians ceding the name as he says they did, the state should have told the NCAA to go pack sand and open it's wallets to pay their own attorneys while the State of North Dakota took this as far as it had to go, legally, even to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

What an utter fiasco this whole thing has been.

Idiotic idea: rewind again and try to retry based on what appears to be old arguments? I don't know the facts of his case, but apparently he made those factual arguments and lost. I may be wrong, but that is what it appears he is saying.

It is possible to move on, and we will.

UND completes the sweep on a Sunday in East Lansing at a bad arena with worse attendance and the NCHC's domination over the B1G continues. This weekend the Hawks will host DU with 6 conference points on the line and a great rivalry to boot. Splitsville in Grand Forks is imminent.

The CBS line of Cagguila, Boeser, and Schmaltz scored 4 of the 5 goals in their 5-1 win over Denver last night. Best line so far since the DOT line of Duncan, Oshie, and Toews. Freshman Boeser with 10 goals on the year while Cags has 12 and Schmaltz has 19 assists.

The CBS Line has been amazing. Will they top some of the other top lines when they're through this season?

Last season at this time: McIntyre 12-4-2 2.01 .926 0 SHO

This season: Johnson 6-0-1 1.34 .929 2 SHO

Since the timeout in game 1 of the Icebreaker Johnson has a .955 save percentage.
