University of North Dakota 2014-2015 Season Thread

Re: University of North Dakota 2014-2015 Season Thread

I never did hear why the goal was waved off. I was thinking because the ref intended to blow the whistle. I did not know that they did not have a view of the goal in the net.
Brad asked Hak today about it and the head coach didn't say much other than the team had moved on and sometimes people make mistakes.

Mike Schmidt told Virg Foss in the press box that they ref intended to blow the whistle.

I say Barbara Streisand... I have found, that's a catch all for don't ask me, or I don't clue and finally, he's covering for a ref that made a mistake. If the ref intended to blow the whistle, you don't review the goal in question for five minutes.

The no DQ for the 5 min major came back to bite us in the arse.

His point is for the third straight game we've had to beat our opponent and the refs.

Actually, I think most Sioux fans think Western got a raw deal last night. I know Hennessey thought the Stecher goal probably should not have counted due to a missed call.

That call on stetchers goal could have gone both ways it was a scrum in front of the net. It just seems like the refs are always the main focus of the game. They miss the easy calls and call ones that shouldn't be called. I'm just hoping they don't mess up and call off goals that are clearly goals anymore

Anybody hear what happened to MacMillian? And how bad it is?
Brad S. has been saying "don't expect good news."

Have to believe it's a kneecap fracture. Even the mildest of those require about 6-8 weeks of no weight on your leg. With surgery to repair, much, much longer.

Really sucks. One point away from joining the "century club" at UND, but now likely stuck forever on 99 points.
