University of North Dakota '19-'20 Season Thread - There's this Tournament in March..

Re: University of North Dakota '19-'20 Season Thread - There's this Tournament in Mar

Eh, Im sure most Gopher fans feel the same. Wouldn't you rather beat Wisconsin or...Michigan (??) than North Dakota? It's the unfortunate consequences of being in different conferences.
Wisconsin maybe, Michigan no. Still fun to relive the old battles with the Sioux, gets the rivalry juices flowing for the games this week.

That was a fun game. I was down in Blaine watching the game with mostly Gopher fans. A lot of jabbing both ways early on, and then that goal. It was glorious.

I was standing in Mariucci at the standing room seats in the corner talking with Kyle Okposo's father (a prince of a nice guy, by the way) when that goal occurred. He felt terrible for Frazee because he knew the kind of abuse he'd take.

Well, fortunately, if people want to go to the series this year, there are plenty of seats available. You won't need standing room seats. :)

7-3 after two. Rodent meat tastes extra special on turkey day.

It's not even that close of a game. But for a couple of grade A saves by the Gopher goalies, and this could easily be 8- or 9-3. I'd also guess that there are more empty seats than Minnesota fans in the stands...although if I were a Gopher fan (thank God I'm not :p), I wouldn't want to pay money to see that squad.

I have no doubt in my mind UND wins the NCHC this year. Hopefully UMD can play them tough—I don’t think many/any other teams will stand a chance

An all time low point of this program
No. Not even close. Reason? Major change, it will take some time to adjust. If this were, say, Motzko's 4th year or something? Ok, you have a point.

We got whipped tonight. Kudos to UND.

It's a bold strategy to turn the puck over constantly and lose every puck battle. Good luck with that going forward. :p:D:D
