It is up to Carolina, Brad, and advisor to decide when he is ready to move on. Just because he didn’t peak at NCAA level doesn’t mean he isn’t on the best growth rate. That is - the rate at which he grows is more important to them than reaching a plateau at a certain level. So he will play up again at the next level, likely the AHL level whether it be a new affiliation formed by Carolina or on loan to another AHL team. We think it sucks because we want our ringer back. But it is the cost of doing business. That is - we need to be viewed as a program you can go to and develop and move on to the pros. If we aren’t seen as that, we won’t get top flight talent in the future.
I agree with your post. But I find it likely Josh and Breen also get signed somewhere and move on. It will be important that we land someone from the portal that can score goals.

the other thought is that Breen and Brazeale are signing
oh here’s a good and happy thought…Grant comes back to recruit and work with goalies…
(now you tell me what “real movement” is most likely…especially when other schools can pay millions per year for a coach and when we are right at the end of the season for AHL and NHL…and if anyone wanted Breen or Brazeale they likely would have signed by now and Grant was elated to move to Florida and retire with Joy years and years ago)
I was just guessing about the mysterious real movement…. (I don’t think Jason or Alfie moving on would be buckle-up-able movement)
I don't think either comes back at this point...(hope I am wrong)...but if I was to give them a % of coming back...J.Nadeau less then 5% -- Breen 10%...with that said if both return then yes this team still would be on track...as far as advice..agree he was advised wrong...he needed at least another year Maine.

I'm not surprised or concerned Bradly left, good for him, bad for us. I'm sure other guys(Josh, Breen) who we don't want to leave will move on also. Either go pro or use the portal. I'm more concerned with Kuzma not showing up, a guy with a signed NLI not coming? He was supposed to help fill the voids when upper class guys leave. Like to know what happened there.

100% agree with this. His recruiting hasn’t been great to begin with and this makes it worse. Maybe he’ll change up his staff?

Last summer they added Soltys, and he is handling recruiting now. The recruits have been better since then in terms of their ratings. I think though, the recruiting lags so for the most part you won’t see this impact until at least after this coming season. It has been better than Reds recruits so far and appears to be stronger over time. Kuzma though, not sure what else you can do. Get a high quality committ to sign and NLI and he still doesn’t show up. This seems like he asked out for a better deal elsewhere where NIL must have been thrown at him.

I wish Grant comes back but he is in Naples, Fla in the same place as my grandparents and I don't think he's in the best of health anymore (what my grandparents tell me)
All I know right now is that by waiting and the longer the big names stay in the portal it is good news for us and we may get one of them or multiple. I'm saying buckle up because I can tell you for certain something unexpected is going to happen but I'm not being told who or what just to stay tuned..yes I'm an anxious as the rest of you. But there is some serious back end chatter going on in the portal and Bradly leaving might have given us lightning in a bottle to get someone else.
