University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Season ticket renewal getting underway today. No word on pricing yet.

Interesting that they put a $50 annual fee to be on tbe season ticket wait list. Ive heard that there was anywhere from 1500 to 2000 on the waitlist.
The fee will shrink that list down. If your # 1000 would have to think about the reality of ever getting a ticket in the near future.

I do like they are providing perks for the waitlist members. I'm not sure if they were already doing so already though.

Tried to get in and the site gave me an error message. Had the same problem trying to get my playoff tickets and ended up having to call.
I just called and the recording said they were closed because of construction.

Haven't seen price advertised anywhere yet, but I see my section S tickets are $270. That would be $15 if there are 18 home games.

Playoffs are $23 plus a $1 facility fee.

Also the tunnels where teams access the rink will be reversed, with Maine emerging from the one between Q and R and the opposition using the one between S and the Zamboni doors. That's going to take some getting used to...

Does this mean the opposing teams will use Maine’s old locker rooms? If so, any way they can renovate to make it worse? Put ac on high during the winter, benches that tilt forward too much, some piece of machinery that has no real purpose but makes a lot of noise, etc…

Let's circle back to the skunk idea you had on the UNH thread. I think just one would get the job done.

I think Maine will continue using the same locker room but that long, sloping hallway connection will be on the other side now. If I'm remembering correctly, they would exit from what used to be locker room 2. I would expect opposing teams will now use locker room 4, across from the old equipment room. The officials would continue using room 3 but they could change it up and put the visitors in 3 and the refs in 4.

I really like the way that the athletic dept is looking for ways to increase revenue in creative ways. $50 isn’t too much to ask if you are planning on getting season tix eventually anyway. If 1,000 people pay the $50….that’s an extra $50K. We all want Maine to remain a top tier program…we’ve all got to chip in.

There's gotta be an old musty broom closet we can stuff Rouillard & Co into.
