University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

What a bad game to play one of the worst periods I've seen all year. PSU is taking us to the woodshed. Faster, smarter plays, and feeding off the crowd. We need to figure it out between periods.

Thought that Maine got away with two penalties. The Charbrier cross check to the neck. And Russell got away with a high stick to the guys head/chin. The 2nd Freel penalty should have been matching with the Penn State guy embellishing. So overall it seems not bad officiating.

The goals for Penn State went in awful easy. Though not sure any are soft, all seem not really on Boija. He would have had miracles to save those.

Maine is fortunate to be down only 2 goals. Maker’s goal was a lucky bounce.

Penn State took it to Maine with speed. Maine taking too many penalties. Maine needs to skate harder and get pucks deep and work behind their goal or this will be a long game. Bad start for Maine, great start by Penn State.

Score the next one and get some momentum going.

I know that..but if you listened to the team this year the crowd absolutely makes a difference for the home team. The PSU player just said on the interview the crowd made a difference lol
I am not a Maine fan but I want them to win. Allentown is 160 miles from Penn State. It is not in their backyard. Any number 1 seed faces the possibility of playing a host team unless they are hosting.

Nadeau needs to remember he's on a team. And he's not big and strong and talented enough to carry this team.

Maine needs players that can snap the puck tape to tape.....too much slow shuffling and fumbling the puck.

Maine needs some blue-chippers on D as well.
