Union @ RPI 10/31/14

Re: Union @ RPI 10/31/14

I guess the meds I took today are working-I actually have myself believing we are up 2-0. I know it is only 20 minutes, but if this RPI team can skate like they have this period-how is it possible they could have lost 5 in a row? I have not seen this much energy from an RPI team in a long time. Every line just seems to have some pop out there and the passing has been the best of this year so far. Hopefully we can stay out of the box though as we need to keep rolling the lines and keep the momentum where it belongs.

OK, so we scored two. I'm honestly shocked it's not 2-1 right now. But the second period is coming, and I still say Union puts four in.

The biggest difference in the two on one, and why we scored: The carrier actually took the shot. Teams are used to us always making the pass.

If I didn't know any better I'd suspect Anthony Bosch slipped the team something.

Re: Union @ RPI 10/31/14

When we have a good second period (I'm not counting Notre Dame as I still think it was a fluke), I'll be more optimistic.

The dreaded second period has been a problem for us over many years. Not sure if it has been a let down for us or other coaches making changes and adapting better. Lately though it is more the third period and either running out of gas or not knowing how to play with a lead that has been the thorn. We shall see-IMO it is a matter of coaching more than anything else.

Destroy all evidence that doesn't fit the theory and you can come to believe anything.

In horse racing, when they want to do that they often do something called 'milkshaking'. I often wondered if it would work in humans. Pretty much not easy to trace but a tad risky.
