Rdf, I have also experienced some problems with the ticket office in the past and they have generally been very cooperative and responsive. That being said, I think the ticket office is under a lot of pressure dealing with football and hockey at the same time. I also think they started a new hockey ticket system this year which probably added to the problems. Still ticket buyers and particularly season ticket holders should get the best possible service.

Schott reports that that TWCS (ch 3/1803) has picked up the Union at RIT game on 10/22. Coverage begins at 7. Schott will have WMU coach Andy Murray on Slap Schotts, 11:00 AM today (Thurs) on 980 AM.

RC, you know I'm an old guy but I will try. Thanks for caring. I guess it came down to her or Rick Bennett. Right choice. I also think she should be hitting the recruiting trail for the men's team. :D

And for some not so good news, posted by the Union Hockey Blog yesterday: "According to reports today, Matt Hatch got absolutely wrecked by Kevin Sullivan on the ice during practice today. Lets all hope Hatch is ok and will be ready to play on Friday night."

Banner for an NCAA appearance? That reminds me of the "participant" ribbons I'd get in grade school.

Schoolsalways hang a banner that lists the years they played in the NCAA tournament.

Ties (2-2 in this case) are always dissatisfying, but other than that, it was a very entertaining game to see. Grosenick really bailed them out early on when WMU had a sizable shot advantage. They were lucky WMU only had 1 goal after the first - I thought WMU clearly outplayed Union early on. I thought Union generally played better as the game went on. The game tying goal was an exception, a turnover that WMU raced to the other and and put in. A major lapse there. The turnover put Grosenick in a bad spot, so I can't really blame him for letting it in.

Mat Bodie's goal, which put Union up 2-1, was a beauty of a shot from the blueline area. Union did squander a golden chance in OT when they had a PP. They didn't get much going... too many passes.

Union, for whatever reason, had at least 1 goal waived off (including one late in regulation that used replay) and maybe a second as well. The acoustics were pretty bad tonight, so I didn't hear the explanation.

Ideally, they would play until somebody wins the game...

The disallowed goal was because of a whistle, one of several early ones in my judgment. The reviewed goal hit the side net. It was an entertaining game and neither team should be dissatisfied with the tie although Union did lose two one goal leads. WMU is a very good team with good speed and stick skills. Pisinelli looks like the real deal in goal.

I thought Grosenick looked very good but maybe should have come out to cut down the angle on the second goal, semi breakaway.

The Union PP did not look that sharp, but credit at least in part has to go the effective WMU PK. They seemed to do a good job of packing in it and letting Union throw it around the perimeter.

Once again the big Welsh Carr Jooris line didn't score, but I have a feeling that may end soon.

All in all I'd say far more positives than negatives.

Was at PC game tonight and they have one exactly like Unions, as do many schools. If that is your focus and worry, you are one pathetic fool with to much time on your hands.

Didn't even know SLU still fielded a team
