Union College: 2015-2016

Re: Union College: 2015-2016

At this point:

Home: BU, Michigan, Maine (2)
Away: Dartmouth Holiday Tourney (Merrimack & RMU), Merrimack

That's 7 games. Would expect a western trip, a couple AHAs and "you-know-who at the TU"

Not so long ago I was saying that all kind of apocalyptic things would have to happen for BU or Michigan to come to Schenectady.. pretty incredible. A very nice home schedule.

Well, slightly apocalyptic... the Michigan game is part of a two-for-one; you'll be going to Yost for a pair the year after.

I did hear about a UNH game, too.

I hope we drop Connecticut. We have done horrible against them over the past 4 years. Hope we get another opportunity to play in Boston at Againis or NE or BC.

I very much like this line-up. Rebuilding year but real posibility of developing 4-lines again.

I'd say that's a pretty good prognostication.. I'm hoping that Pontarelli can work his way up to top 6 and could probably sprinkle B. Taylor, Dufour, & Vidmar over the the bottom 2 lines. Also think that Henry dug himself a hole at the end of last season and would not be surprised to see Campbell given an early chance. Would expect Hynes & DiPauli to see plenty of ice on the energy line. This is a strong frosh class for forwards and could potentially have 3 lines of dangerous scoring if even 2 of them significantly contribute points, which would be a big upgrade from last season. The defense is just going to continue to need time to gel, but hopefully learned some lessons last season. My big concern is in goal. Hoping that Alex is working hard and can bring a little more athleticism & endurance next season. Kupsky had a very good post-season in the NAHL (>93% save), so maybe he is an option - certainly has the size. Not expecting much better than last year, but should be interesting.

I agree. This is the first time in a long time where how we do is going to be very dependent on how well the freshmen perform. We are loosing 42/122 goals or about 34% of last years scoring.

Re: Union College: 2015-2016

Wayne Simpson is killing it in SC for the Stingrays. 2 more today in Kelly Cup finals, shattering all playoff records. Will be in AHL next year and will be surprised if he doesn't get games up eventually.
