I thought Brian Yanovitch looked very good in the Garnet White game last week. Let's drop the puck! Go U!

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

It will be interesting to see how Brian does this year after rarely dressing last season. Hopefully he can at least return to where he was as a sophomore.

I'm just speculating but I'm wondering if he was not a coach's favorite last year. More likely, he was just overtaken by the surprisingly strong freshmen who came in.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Army should be a good first test. Other than last year's blowout, the Knights always play us tough. Last trip 2 years back, it took a late tying goal and an OT score to squeak out a 2-1 win. And we all remember the Zajac last second no angle goal his freshman year.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Teamline broadcast isn't up yet. I'm way too antsy to hear Matt and Brian again. :)

As I post that it comes on. :p

Union definitely can't overlook Army. As Wholin posted they always play Union tough, the last two trips to Army especially.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Awful turnover behind the net leads to an early Army goal.

Mat Bodie lost the puck behind the net and Zaremba put it in after 2 or 3 jams at the puck.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Union ties it up at 1. Goal was scored by Matt Hatch off a tip. Assist goes to Kelly Zajac. Union has been dominating the play so far.

Union scores again off the rebound after a beautiful setup. Kevin Sullivan with his first of the year. Kyle Bodie and Brian Yanovitch get the assists.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Novak scores to make it 3-1. Beautiful finish for his first career goal after a great feed from Mat Bodie.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Union 3, Army 1 - End 1.

Union goals from Hatch, Sullivan and Novak, Zaremba scored for the lone goal for Army. Union looked to be in total control after a rough first couple minutes.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Of the freshmen, Gostisbehere and Novak looked very impressive in the first period. Grosenick wasn't tested much but looked solid on the shots he faced.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Yanovitch takes the first penalty of the year for interference. He got tied up with one of Army's defensemen in the offensive zone.

Re: Union @ Army 10/8

Wayne Simpson makes it 4-1 with a little under 9 minutes left in the second. Zajac gets the assist.

Novak scores his second of the night off a great feed from Coatta to make it 5-1 Union. Coatta and Ikkala get the assists, both their second of the night as well.
