Union 6, Army 1 after two periods. More of the same in the second as Union consistently held the puck in the Army zone.

Looks like a good effort so far albeit against an obviously overmatched opponent. Looking ahead, next weekend's games v. WMU should be a much tougher test.

Third period is underway. Only Union line without a goal tonight is the Welsh-Carr-Jooris line.

Wayne Simpson makes it 7-1 after a great backhanded finish on a partial breakaway. Army calls timeout and changes goalies.

Union goes up 8-1 on Wayne Simpson's third goal of the night. Second consecutive season opener where a Union player gets the hat trick.
