I don’t believe so Mac. The NCAA Eligibility Center’s decision is described as a penalty. If so, he would have eligibility for the rest of this season and for his junior and senior seasons.
Hmmm! Thanks Mike. Doesn't seem fair, but as I learned too late, life is not fair!

CBS feed not working, 20 minutes after puck drop. This is becoming a trend.

Up for me now - but I have problems every time I try to start it up as well...

UNH up 1-0 on a Sato goal at the tail end (or just after a) PP for UNH. Not a good PP for either unit but Sato found a puck behind him just above the goal line, reached back and fired a bad angle shot over the shoulder of Swayman...

Maine forechecking physically and defensemen not named Gildon or Wyse struggling early for UNH.

Sly play from Robinson to draw the PP - as he watched the ME player enter on the forecheck and when his attention was directed behind the goal towards Gildon, Robinson turned his back and made himself as large as he could a top the crease so the ME skater would end up skating right through him. Which he did. For a tripping call...

Somebody please check Ryan Smith’s birth certificate. He looks 37.

Ummmm...how is that NOT a penalty shot???? Asking for a friend.

Two factors the striped one looks at:
Did NH clearly have a lead on the defender?
When the defender catches up, did he play the puck with his stick or use his body on the NH player? Any use of hands or stick on the player and the call would go our way.
Pretty close call, could have gone either way.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2019/2020 Ready to Rock and Roll!!

Not able to capitalize, PP not clicking, not meeting the physicality out there.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2019/2020 Ready to Rock and Roll!!

Are we getting tired? Has MS shortened the bench?
The play by play and camera work are POOR!

Re: UNH Wildcats 2019/2020 Ready to Rock and Roll!!

Tired or not execution just not there tonight; 0 for 5 on the PP for instance. Maine took care of business made it look easy knocking UNH off the puck most of the night esp in the neutral zone. Oh well. Tomorrow's another day but we have to be much better. GO 'CATS!!

Well, there’s the lesson in what happens when you’re overly dependent on the PP and a handful of top scorers and they all have off nights. It’s bound to happen and that’s why you need better depth scoring at 5x5...

In all fairness, even though the SOG's were meaningless (as usual), so was the first goal. :( :(

I don't follow..Swayman was / seemed hardly tested all night (not to take away from his 30 saves) if you ask me....You mean Sato's goal, right...sorry, long week.

Oh...and lousy night at the dot: 40 v 26 (that's a lot of lost possession )
