I was just going to go with... Those 15 extra feet didn't help last weekend at home against Maine...

It ain't the rink. That is just an excuse and winners don't use excuses.

It is the same with all the locker room, meeting room and weight room excuses... North Dakota plays in a palace and they haven't looked so good lately.

After tonight our remaining five games are against NU and UML. Winning three would be impressive.

Northeastern is 4-6-0 in their last ten and struggling a bit heading into the Beanpot Championship on Monday. Lowell is 8-0-1 in their last nine, prior to tonight's contest with UMass...

Lowell up 2-0 on UMass after one. They're playing really well.

Oh, I know. But, if we need to dig it up anyway to fix the chilling pipes, might as well narrow the width.

And, I realize that we are lucky to be not playing in the Gutt for home games; what a dump. And, $34 for a bench seat.

Meanwhile, UNH notched no SOG in a minute of 5-3 PP; pathetic.

The 5 on 3 was putrid. Stretch pass when you’ve got a two man advantage?

The stretch pass created the lone chance of the PP - an in alone situation. Hard to argue with that. The rest of the PP was especially putrid - no argument there - beginning with Blackburn nearly tossing it into his own net on the delayed penalty...

Time to give TT some time in net tonight?

And, looks like SOG and goals are aligned so far tonight.

Third goal was shaky - but otherwise Robinson has been very good tonight. Closing in on 30 saves already - following a great performance last night. Not his fault by any means tonight and I'd imagine UNH sticks with him...

That said, 3-0, might as well be 5-0 with the way his counter part is playing. Lekkas has allowed one goal on 50+ shots this weekend. I'm not sure a comeback is in the cards the way UNH is playing tonight. So, if they turned to Taylor for the third, I'd have no complaints. Get him some more experience, sharpen him up in case anything comes up down the stretch and/or get Robinson a bit of a break with a bye next weekend...

---

Also Robinson is 1.60 GAA and .947 with a pair of shutouts in the five-game stretch prior to tonight...

Oh, I get that. The third goal came on a puck that was careening on edge. But, given that the game is a lost cause given the way that his team is playing in front of him, I cannot think of a better time to give TT a chance to face some serious rubber.

I would tend to agree with you - but I'd guess the UNH staff is still thinking comeback and believes Robinson gives them the best shot at that outcome...

Also couldn't fault them if they've just decided it's Robinson's job this year and if he's healthy and playing well then he is in there. Taylor's next shot to compete for significant minutes may be next season at this point...

---

The rest of the team looks tired and slow tonight. Fanning on a lot of passes and shots all over the ice. Worst effort in a long while - but credit Vermont for playing with a lot of pace...

Cheap, but I’ll take it ...

Bails them out after another bad PP. I'll never understand the idea to stack five of your top six scorers on one PP and start your second unit instead. The first PP got on the ice with less than 30 seconds left and the puck in their own end...

Re: UNH Wildcats 2018-2019: Souza the Opportunity or Louza the Opportunity

No focus tonight. UVM is one of the worst teams in the country and UNH let them dominate. I know players think they can win any game but it looks like they will have little chance against Lowell with not much better prospects against Northeastern. Having a week off, then two home games vs. NU, might help them. Let’s hope so.

Well, as predicted, a sweep up in Burlington was not in the cards.
